Since some of you have written us at TJB about Nick Foles, it bears mentioning that holding out hope the Eagles might be in the market to trade their young quarterback Nick Foles. According to reports, the Eagles won’t be making that move any time soon. Or at least they are setting up a tough negotiation for any team based on the stance they are putting out to the public.
Friday, a source close to the situation said the Eagles “haven’t even discussed moving Nick,” and “want to keep Nick.”
Of course, any player is available for the right price. The Associated Press reported the Eagles wouldn’t consider moving Foles, a third-round rookie last year, for anything less than a first- or second-rounder.

Let’s assume the Jets are interested. It’s hard to imagine that Nick Foles would garner a first or second rounder from the Jets because of an underwhelming six-start rookie campaign with only one win to show for it. Vick might have the best shot at starting for Chip Kelly in 2013, but the Eagles are smart enough to know that Mike Vick’s chances of going a 16 game season are slim.
