It’s not normally a time where players are signed by teams as they are working this close to the draft. We have to assume that guard was in play for the Jets and a priority for the team on Day One & Day Two, but the fact that the Jets missed the boat on Jonathan Cooper most notably and would seem to be the reason for the timing of the move.
