With the news that the Jets will be without Jeff Cumberland for at least this weekend against the Dolphins, the team has had a few tryouts today in Florham Park, per Brian Costello of the Post.

It remains to be seen if the Jets will sign either player, but Haynos would have some familiarity with Sparano as he played a few years in Miami. Cochart was cut by the Cowboys on 9/11/12 and hasn’t caught back on with a team yet.
It was expected that the Jets would look to fill either a FB or TE spot since the Jets will have to backfill some of the snaps that Cumberland would take with other talent. The Jets are going to need as many blockers as possible for the running game this weekeend. As far as who the Jets might cut from the active roster, it’s hard to say, but expect the Jets to make a decision about any additions at the Tight End spot before practice tomorrow.
