Uh oh … is the music about to stop?  Where does the Jets GM search stand?  

All indications are that Caldwell and the Jags have come to an agreement to hire him.

Caldwell picked the Jaguars as his landing spot after after a second interview for the Jets GM job. Contract still needs to be finalized.—

Arizona has made an internal hire and promoted Steve Keim.

As long expected, Cards have promoted Steve Keim to GM. Keim interviewed for other jobs. SD strongly considering promoting from within too—

So where does that leave the Jets?

So, if Caldwell is out (Jags) and Gamble doesn't come, does Scott Cohen become the favorite for #Jets GM job?—

The Giants Marc Ross (who was back interviewing with Carolina today) internal candidate Scott Cohen (who has no other interviews) and the Niners Tom Gamble (who was supposed to be in San Diego today) left as their options in this round of interviews.

I’m sticking with my story as of Saturday that the Jets will hire Tom Gamble.  He was their top guy coming in. He’s a good fit for the organization. There has been some recent news put out about Gamble and his status with the the Jets that smells terribly fishy.  That he doesn’t understand the cap.  How does a Director  in the NFL not understand the cap?  Does it matter if he understands the cap if Ari Nissim stays put?  That he didn’t shine in his interview Saturday.  OK so he didn’t shine over the weekend but the Jets took unprecedented steps with him than with any other candidate?

Gamble is still the guy …
