And so it begins? What begins? - his losing his spot was inevitable - just not that much of a loss andthey can make a decision earlier with time to adjust. He is definitely replaceable.

I'm starting to think the Giants have a real issue with the strength and conditioning coach(s)

Luis Ocampo

unfortunately it's an injury but this gives our first rounder and opportunity to show everyone the giants made the right pick Krystle Ocampo

The game has gotten too stressful on the human bodies that play in it.......even in the weight room......guys are much bigger and much faster......they hit like trucks.......there's always pressure to " get bigger, get stronger, get faster "..... " work out and play harder ".....muscles tear, get strained, get sore, .....brains get battered..... ligaments and bones too......it's a very violent sport.....200 to 350 pound men slamming into each other.......I spoke to a young NYC Sanitation guy who was picking up our buildings bags and I could see he had a back problem. He told me " with my job, it's only gonna' get worse "......ditto pro football.....team injuries don't get lower as the training and seasons begin, they increase......look at what OBJ just said - " We should get more money because we get hurt a lot ".....injuries are part of the sport and the team with an elite QB, good team talent and no key injuries usually gets to take home the trophy......

as for the " we should have taken La El Collins" guys; get over it!.....I doubt TC will have Flowers protecting Eli on the left and I doubt, had we drafted Collins, he would be there too......you 'make do' in a violent and injury prone sport...... sadly, there's more to come.....

offensive line is a unit. they all need to work together. last year they were all backups. let's hope this is the only injury

Yeah I'm trying to find how this would work but in no way is losing Beatty a good thing other than if and this is a HUGE IF, Flowers shows he can handle LT. If he can then it makes them better all around. If not they are in trouble. HUGE TROUBLE.

@Major Pain 0303 The loss of Beatty will effect the OL. Granted, he is not Orlando Pace, however; he did rebound in 2014 and played much better. With his injury this could effect two positions, LT and OG. Pugh would have moved to OG, but now that doesn't seem possible. Not sure if the Giants will let Flowers go to LT and forget Pugh at LT, not going to happen.

Precisely why a 7th round pick on Collins would have been a good investment. I'm not going to say we "blew it" because no other team did it either. Just that there was almost no risk in investing a 7th round pick on a 1st round talent. Then it no longer would have been a matter of where he "preferred" to play since the NFL had already said he could not re-enter the draft next year. Now, we have to worry about the season potentially being in jeopardy by the time we get our offensive line together.

It's not just sacks it's hurries and interceptions. Not to mention the offense the Giants went to was a more quick hitting scheme than years past.
