Hmmm lets pretend I did not bring this guy up 2 days ago as a great 2rd pick for us lol the guy is a prime time speed rusher. We have the size & run stuffers all over the line, what we dont have is rocket to launch from the edge.

So as I said before fix our safety issues in free agency, pick up a good vet to lead the WR core I like James Jones for that & just hit it out of the park in the draft & we can be where the Seahawks are very soon. Same way I said Sheldon Richardson should be our very first pick last yr before anyone ever heard of him (& before it was livefyre on here lol) im telling you this guys speed on the edge solidifies the line. IMO a draft that looks like this = AFC champs...

RD1)Eric Ebron

RD2)Dee Ford

RD3)Jarvis Landry / Davante Adams which ever is on the board both great!

RD3)Cyril Richardson

RD4)JuWaun James

There are some good DE prospects in this draft who are ranked in the middle rounds. Kareem Martin of UNC and Will Clark from WVU are both 6'6" 270 lb guys who can set the edge and get after the QB. I don't think we'll be drafting them because they would be best suited for Coples position........though in a sub package, a four man line of Coples-Wilk-Hogg-Clark/Martin would be pretty stout!

Too small n not really an edge setter...i rather draft marcus smith outta louisville wit our 4th/5th rd pick...he showed he can set the edge already n had 14.5 sacks dis past season

@NYBaller89

He is an interesting prospect Baller. Did you know he was a QB when he arrived at Louisville?

I've seen him anywhere from the 2nd round to the 4th round.

Another guy I am interested in is Telvin Smith from Florida St........not sure where he would play but he is a baller as well.

@NYBaller89  Reading up on him now...I found this to be intriguing (this is based on his Senior Bowl performance in practice):

But none of the potential tweeners of 4-3 college defensive ends at the Senior Bowl was more convincing in their ability to drop back into pass coverage than Marcus Smith of Louisville. Whether he was step-for-step down the seam 20 yards downfield with a tight end or sliding out into the flats to cover a running back on a swing pass, Smith showed the best agility among outside LB converts in his change of direction and play recognition.

Where is Smith projected to go? 2nd round?

I love Telvin Smith!!  If he was 15lbs heavier he would be  top 16 pick IMO.  He is a fast playing who really just plays lights out week in and week out.

@Brendan @NYBaller89

If we want him we would likely have to take him with our 1st 3rd round pick.  He is a good player with a lot of upside.  if he tests well he will probably go 2nd round.

I hope not..i hope he drops down to the late 3rd maybe mid 4th rd area...not alot of hype bout him yet..but thats gonna change after the combine

@NYBaller89 You can't go wrong drafting someone from L'ville in the 4th round (Rhodes, Powell).

Maybe he can sit back or share playin time wit pace for a year if we draft him

@NYBaller89  cbs sports had him as the 8th best prospect at his position and projected to go in the 2-3rd round...plus that hes in a draft with alot of underclassmen might make his stock rise that hes a senior
