The numbers might not be right, but the end result is going to be still the same.  Due to the contracts doled out in the last three years, the Jets haven’t been the shoppers that they were in 2008, 2009 and 2010.  The Jets have sought to extend their own, but they’ve done it in such a way that so much of the team’s money is tied up into a very few players.  John Idzik seems to be looking to stick it out through the worst of it right now, which will allow him some flexibility to make major changes and salary space as soon as next season.
