Jets Playoff Scenario

After much research, I figured out what needs to be done in order for the Jets to make the playoffs. Here you go:

We’ll break this down more clearly later in the week…but from first glance, what are your thoughts on our chances as we head into Week 17?

If it were Tavares, we'd likely be in trouble...Okposo will be missed, but we still have enough to keep winning 3 out of every 4, just like we've been doing all season...Oh, and still enough to beat the rump rangers, like we've been all season...

If the Isles haven't collapsed by the deadline (which I don't think they will) then they need to go after Jagr hard.  I really believe they have a shot at raising the cup this year and Jagr is the perfect mix of experience and talent that will help them do that.

What about Patrick Elias ?would he leave Jersey for a chance to play with J.T?They look like they had chemistry in the all star game.

Kessel? Be serious. How do they get Kessel. Toronto is still in the play-off hunt. Kessel is their best player. jagr is a possibility, but the Isles are dealing from weakness.

Grabovsky just better start playing better but he is injury prone. Who wants Petrov...he has very little value.

A major deal with Edmonton is what I'd like to see. They want Reinhart and the Isles need a fwd. Edmonton has plenty of good ones.

Petrov and Donovan for Jagr?

Jagr is on my wish list of spring rentals. He might look good on the right wing with JT if they want to keep Strome on the second line. We'll see how they weather the next few weeks without Kyle.

I am reading on newsday comment section that he has a detached retina which could/may take longer than the 6-8 weeks posted. Dont kill me, its just what I've read.

Let's just wait to hear what the final details are with this injury. It's our first real adversity this year. I'm not at all worried we got way to much depth. Grabbo will seize the opportunity. Plus grabner is getting it back as well. Kyle will be good and rested by playoff time. Reminds me of 1980 when potvin got hurt and came back fired up. These things happen. Just have to overcome them.

Snow has stopped here in the city for now

After Grabovsky, where is the "tons of depth at forward". Next up is probably Conacher. We've seen what he can & can't do.

@myisles72 I agree. But I worry that he will cost too much.  Jagr will probably be a hot commodity at the deadline.

@tonelli27

Any word on how it happened? Wondering if KO engaged in some activity that violated his contract.

@tonelli27

Vic if that is the case Snow may have to make a move, either a rental or take on another salary depending on what they do with the lineups

@dimaio34 It's a big loss but I'm much more concerned with the D and Halak.  If the D gets banged up or Halak goes down it's all over.  Poulin and Johnson won't bring the Isles anywhere.

@caseysdad I thought you meant Garth Snow stopped in the city and I was really confused for a sec.

Kevin you have me stumped here, i didn't know whether to post a joke or something serious so i thought I'd leave it alone

@jrjr Kessel is a cancer...the Islanders DON'T need him in the locker room. Hey if this team is going to go deep into the playoffs they need to weather this little storm. They should be plenty deep w/o adding a negative like Kesssel.

@caseysdad @tag1 They really don't know how much snow we could end up with if you are in the sweet spot of this storm you can get over 30 inches now you just have to figure out where the sweet spot will be.

@tag1 @caseysdad

tag, it's like a prize fight where the opponent is just jabbing you and then clobbers you with a ko punch that knocks you out, that is my analogy for this storm

@Jim Miller @islesfan27 @tonelli27  kane is wayyyyyy overrated.  he would not be worth the price.  first of all Winnipeg is in a playoff race.  they aint letting him for for cheap.  if they did let him go there is a reason.

Is that the reason they shut the subways down? No one said anything about driving learn how to read and comprehend

@caseysdad @tag1 Thanks jep same to you and yours, according to a couple of weather computer models you may luck out and not see as much snow as they said you would, it still looks like most of LI will get hammered though.
It would be funny if diblowzio shut down the city for less than a foot of snow.
