Jets Sign Josh Baker

With undrafted free agents set to sign today, NFL Draft Insider is reporting that the Jets have reached an agreement with UDFA TE Josh Baker from Northwest Missouri State.

Baker, listed at 6’2, 243, is projected by many scouts to be an H-back at the next level. He’s a solid athlete, running a 4.66 40 yard dash at his Pro Day.   Before transferring to NW Missouri State, Baker caught passes from Ravens QB Joe Flacco at Delaware.   Baker scored three touchdowns as the “Wildcat” in college.  This signing is further proof that the Jets are getting ready to say goodbye to WR Brad Smith.  Due to his versatility, he will definitely be worth watching during training camp.  If he can impress the coaches, he definitely has the tools to make an impact this season.
