Keller Helping the Jets Offense Hit Their Stride

With the offense regaining some continuity, JP Pelzman writes for the record that Dustin Keller’s presence has been a big part of the offense settling down over the last few weeks.

Part of QB Mark Sanchez’s early season struggles can be traced to Keller’s four-gameabsence with a hamstring injury. But his seven receptions for 93 yards and a score at New England show he definitely is back, and his presence will be magnified considering WR Santonio Holmes, who dominated the Dolphins while Keller was sidelined in the first matchup, is out for the year. Keller has 26 catches for 304 yards and four TDs in his last five games against Miami.

Keller might not have seen the ball a lot two weeks ago against the Colts, but he was key for Sanchez last week against the Patriots.  Keller and Sanchez seem to be finding their old rhythm and with a tough run defense Keller’s contributions in the passing game could be big for the Jets chances at a win.
