Marquice Cole was a good special teamer and provided cornerback depth for the Jets during his time with the team.  Now Cole is in New England and Cole and Sanchez talked to the Boston Herald about their friendship which often involved pranks and friendly bets around the facility.

Cole and Sanchez bet about everything almost anytime. Whether it was shooting water bottles in a trash can or throwing footballs at a goal post. The bets usually resulted in someone ordering pizza.

Once, Cole hit a tetherball all the way up the pole and bet Sanchez he couldn’t hit it from 20 yards out — he lost.

“I mean, it was anything,” said Sanchez. “In the training room, hit so and so with this medicine ball — whatever. Hit him in the leg is a couple points, hit him in the chest is five points or whatever, hit him in the head and you get 10 points or whatever. We would just play stuff to get you through the day and to joke around.”

Amusing.  We liked Cole and the depth he helped provide.  With the Jets current situation, Cole would have been a help this year, but the Jets had other plans.  Maybe Sanchez and Cole can wager on the outcome of Sunday’s game … I hope Sanchez wins that one too.
