Three & Out: Who is in? Who is out?

Some of the storylines that seem to be unfolding this week.

Starter Unknown — Rex Ryan said that there is “nothing new” to report yesterday on the quarterback front.  The team is not naming a starter as of yet and won’t say when they will.  It seems reasonable to expect that it’s Geno while Sanchez told reporters that his injury is “day to day.”

Tone to Play? — Stephen Hill was asked about whether or not Santonio Holmes would play, and he believes that he will based on the fact that he practiced.  It might not be that Holmes plays every snap on offense this weekend, but from what his teammates expect, he should see some time on the field and the Jets won’t miss much with Jeremy Kerley on the field in Tone’s role should they have him on a snap count.

Coples Still Out — Ryan officially said that the Jets would handle it on Wednesday, but that those who were in attendance think it means that Coples won’t play this weekend.  While Coples presence will be missed on the field, having Sheldon Richardson ready for this weekend will certainly softens the blow.
