2014 Senior Bowl Primer

The 2014 Senior Bowl kicks off at 4pm ET and the Jets will be paying close attention. Over at ESPN New York, Rich Cimini breaks down the players that will be of particular interest to the Jets. Here’s a link with the winners and losers from this week of practices. Of particular note is undersized defensive tackle Aaron Donald from Pittsburgh, who won the award for the most dominant player this week. However, there’s no better way to boost your stock than by excelling in the game itself.

Funny that Fales was the guy with the 'weakest' arm on the South team but he was the one throwing the ball downfield!

Carr completed 7 passes out of 12 for 45 yards which is 3.75Yards per attempt and 6.4 yards per completion

Garoppolo completed 6 out of 11 for 32 yards which is 2.9 YPA and 5.3 YPC

Fales completed 6 out of 7 for 104 Yards which is 14.9 YPA and 17.3 YPC

Carr's long was 17 yards and Garoppolo's was 12 while Fales hit Jordan Matthews for 33.

I think the jets should consider QB

Josh garoppolo in round 1or 2.he has a very strong arm and his quick relese is just what coach moriningweg offense needs.

that tight end crockett gilmore from colorado st looked pretty good hes projected 4-5 rd and kevin norwood wr from alabama looked like he had pretty good size and speed im seeing hes predicted to go in the 7th

Dee Ford anyone? Reminds me of Coples and we are in need of an OLB. Only problem is his stock is rising and will most likely be taken in the first round.

Also what do you guys think of bringing back Santana Moss.  Quality vet to help on 3rd down knows how to sit in the zone and be a pro.

Can't wait for the game.  I am eager to see how Andrews and Josh Huff perform.  I think they both are players that have skills that translate well to the pros.  I would be happy with those guys as day three picks.

@harold NO!! Too small and he wasn't that good when he was a Jet the 1st time. Move on!! Jets need players that can catch the ball in traffic and also make the catch even when the pass isn't perfect which Moss NEVER did!!

@harold I don't know how much he has left in the tank but for the right price in a limited roll he might be able to help us. If we limited his exposure he might be able to help on punt returns and in multiple receiver sets in long yardage situations.The key will be can he help out on specials as I think his #1 or 2 days are over.

Are we talking about Moss?  He is a very good WR.  He has gottten much better since he left the Jets.  I live in the MD/DC area and his hands and route running are light years ahead of where he was with the Jets.

I agree he would be as a 4th or 5th Wr who you know if they need to be a #2 or #3 for a few games step up and handle that role.

@harold

I'd rather have young guys with talent on the roster/
