Bad news from last night’s game as reports indicate that Quinton Coples suffered a hairline fracture in his ankle and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. This could mean he misses the first two games of the season.
Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.comBad news for the Jets. I have to imagine that the fracture happened when the Jacksonville player jumped on him when he went to recover the football. Coples had a good night pressuring the quarterback and we expect he’ll be out through Week 2 at the least. It will be interesting to see how the Jets deal with the injury in his absence. Do they move Pace onto the line? Does Richardson jump into Coples’ role? Can Douzable take advantage of this? Pay attention to which player starts in his spot in practice this week as well as next week’s game.
