Here are the inactive lists for today’s game against the 49ers:

Jets inactives: QB Greg McElroy, RB Jonathan Grimes, CB Darrelle Revis, DL Damon Harrison, G Caleb Schlauderaff, TE Dustin Keller, WR Stephen Hill

49ers inactives: QB Scott Tolzien, WR AJ Jenkins, RB LaMichael James, S Trenton Robinson, RB Brandon Jacobs, G Joe Looney, NT Isaac Sopoaga.

Analysis: Bad news for the Jets with Dustin Keller still not ready and Stephen Hill also sitting this one out. Obviously it’s depressing to see Revis on the list too and the new signing Jonathan Grimes obviously hasn’t had long enough to learn the playbook yet. McElroy, Harrison and Schlauderaff had been inactive in each of the first three games.

The good news for the Jets is that 49ers nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga is out, which is hopefully a boost to their struggling running game. The Niners have been playing a lot of nickel over their first few games, so they haven’t used many other players in the nose tackle role for their base defense so far this year. Also, Bryan Thomas, John Conner and Patrick Turner are making their return to the line-up for the Jets.
