Buzz: Jets to return to Cortland for 2014 camp

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports the following:

The Daily News has learned that the Jets will return to SUNY-Cortland for training camp this summer after exploring other options during the past several months. The Jets announced in January that they would review alternate sites during what amounted to an option year for the club.

The Jets have been holding their training camp at Cortland ever since Rex Ryan became coach in 2009, although they did stay in New Jersey during the lockout-shortened 2011 offseason.

btw, I want MJD....he HATES the pats and always plays them like he hates em. envision us up there in the playoffs this year and MJD taking a little swing pass from geno-vick and turning the corner into the end zone for the winning TD

Sanchez to the Eagles could be (potentially) every Jets' fans nightmare. If only because of the Chip Kelly, fantasy football numbers offense. Oh the pain..... :)

I know they still have dog fights at Rutler's Salvage Yard outside of Cortland.  I hope Vick can stay clear.

@jake100  In high school, two weeks before school started, our team would go train in the mountains of Pennsylvania at a summer camp. I loved that, but half the stuff that went on up there would get you labeled a "bully" today. Heck, it may even get players and coaches arrested/fired these days.

@MarshRandy @williamg1  That's not soon enough.

I think of what he could bring to this offense. And then I sit here wondering what will happen if Stephan Hill makes serious strides this year. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I would love for Hill to surprise us this year.

@MPTG_Frank

At least from what we've seen, Geno doesn't have any low hanging fruit.

And believe me, Ron Mexico's entire life work is fair game.  No need to cover them all in a single post.

I want to build this team through the draft and there are plenty of RB options in this years draft class that we could pick. we do have like 11 or 12 picks.

@MarshRandy @williamg1  Especially with DeSean on the roster.

I mean, DJax, Decker, Kerley, Nelson and a progressed Hill, along with Cumby and .......Ebron if he's available when we pick.

That makes me really, really happy.

@williamg1  not getting my hopes up, but it could happen even with DeSean on the roster
