Chris Ivory said that his hamstring is “100 percent,” he told the media on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Ivory said he was going to play in the Jets’ second preseason game. On Tuesday, he said that he isn’t sure if he’ll play.
Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.comThere’s no reason to rush Ivory back, so an ounce of prevention here is justified. In terms of running the ball, Chris Ivory is exactly the kind of running back that this offense needs, so I’m not overly worried about whether or not he’s going to get enough reps before the start of the season to get in synch with this offense. That to me is a non-factor, it is the ongoing concerns about his ability to get and stay healthy that is what make this story hard to get past.
