OT, but I was just looking at some stats from last year and noticed that we did not have player score a TD out of position(ie. RB catching a TD or a WR Rushing for a TD)

Can help but think that will change this year with CJ.

Michael Irvin, NFL Network: "Let’s give this kid [Geno Smith] a chance to develop. He finally has the receiver in Decker. When you want to get a receiver to help a young guy, you want to bring in a technician. Because he can help a young quarterback. You don’t want to go and bring in a Randy Moss, who, you can give him a play, but he’s going to stick his hand up, and go deep. You need a technician because he’s learning the technical parts of the game. Eric Decker is a technician. It makes a huge difference."

57 beckham still looks like crap.

Hey Bent, how you feeling about the offensive line going into the season?

@jsadolph  Geno scored by running a few times, and so did Sheldon Richardson. At least one of those should probably count. I'm really surprised to hear no RB caught a TD. I wonder how often teams go full years without that happening. WRs rushing are much less common.

@UncleJoesJetFarm  This is like walking into someone living room, taking a big dump on the floor, and then walking out waving and smiling.

@UncleJoesJetFarm

I didn't read the article, but is it about relentless posting of garbage articles.

@hitchhiker Amazing that one of the dumbest guys in the room (Irvin) gets it. No disrespect to Sapp's stupidity. Decker was the perfect guy to bring in for Geno. This will also help the team evaluate if Mr. Smith is the "one", considering Decker will always be in the right place at the right time.

Lights on you Geno, don't let us down.

@UncleJoesJetFarm OMG, chillax. You can change the title to depth concerns at tackle for the ______ and it'll all be true. Any team that loses their LT would be in big trouble and would have to scramble. Look at Atlanta.

How many games has Brick missed in his career? Why are you posting this? Why are you concerned?

@MarshRandy I'm encouraged so far.  I still think left guard will be the weakest spot, but overall they look cohesive and I don't think Mangold and Brick will have to do as much hand-holding this year.

Brendan
Brendan

@MarshRandy I think Breno should walk out of the tunnel for games wearing a green & white Lucha Libre mask. Just go full WWE on 'em, Breno.

@a57se @UncleJoesJetFarm The Prisco article quotes Cincinnati players praising the "toughness" Bengals OC Hue Jackson brings to the team. If you're that tough, shouldn't you be able to pick up a blitz by the other team's backups?

jsadolph

@UncleJoesJetFarm

Or a hellova deal for a #3 WR that has been nothing but a role model for the last 2 years.

@a57se @drjreefer "Yeah, it's disappointing. I was really high on the kid. I hope he can recover and pick up the playbook in time to get some chemistry with Eli and make an impact this season"

-a57se answer that would have prevented all the clutter even if the good dr. baited you.

@a57se Has Ijalana played anything besides LT this preseason?

@Bent @MarshRandy  music to my eyes. I was encouraged by their play on Saturday, minus the yellow stuff all over the field

@Brendan @MarshRandy I'd support that. With green tubes coming out of him like Bane has. Although that might draw some 'random' drug tests.

@UncleJoesJetFarm Joseph. You post so much crap in here you can't play the "you don't have to click it" card. You are spamming threads with every negative article you can find.

This article, and the message by the Bengals coach, is the only thing garbage here, besides you posting it.

Complaining because Rex blitzed backups against their backups is so petty and childish. That guy needs to grow up.

@Bytor @a57se @drjreefer

its pretty simply isn't it?
 but he'd have to admit he has been disappointing and 57 will never do that in fear he'd be wrong.

Bytor
Bytor

@a57se @Bytor @UncleJoesJetFarm They didn't want to, probably not feeling that he's ready. And what B says above.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se They're moving a rookie to LT and putting a guy, Lamar Holmes, at RT. Lamar Holmes posted a -38.2 grade as a T last year.

Matt Ryan is going to be cut in half this season.

Bent

@Brendan @a57se No.  He did play some RT last year though.  Hasn't played guard since entering the league.

Brendan
Brendan

@MarshRandy Right Side Rockers? Nice bright, neon green tights, Breno with the mask, Willie with his trusty green fire hydrant prop. Their tandem finishing move would be called "chocolate vanilla swirl" and it'd be some sort of spinning duel-back breaker.

Bytor

@a57se @Bytor @drjreefer The Dr. set the bait and you took it. You have to admit you do a little baiting yourself. The difference is no one can tell when you're joking anymore. You're way too hard to gauge and we'll always assume the negative now. It's human nature.

Anyway, I'm quite impressed with your persistence.

@drjreefer Engineers, analysts, quants often don't take the simple path or admit they're wrong. In my work I often get brought in to "fix" this. NOT easy because of little self awareness or care even in light of overwhelming proof. Compounding the issue is they are usually the smartest people in the room and don't accept feedback well, if at all. Fun stuff.

@a57se If he made the "#1 offense" comments in a Jets jersey, you'd kill him for it.

@Brendan love that. Honestly with Willie I think Mr Furious from Mystery Men, dude just has an unlimited supply of anger

Brendan
Brendan

@MarshRandy I was also kicking around some kind of deranged BBQ chef gimmick for Willie, but went with the designed-tandem thing for those two.

What's funny is Willie is, by accounts of people I know who have met him, one of the nicest guys. Like ever. Then he sees one dude mess with his buddy and the monster comes out to play.

Moral of the story: never piss off Willie Colon.

drjreefer

@a57se @Brendan

he is hurt again!

haven't you killed idzik for his draft already? Yet Beckham missed 4 weeks of camp already and hurt himself again yesterday!!

my god, if it was Amaro you'd be asking for idziks head.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se And like I said, you'd have killed him for them.

MarshRandy
MarshRandy

@Brendan  it's just on the field he's angry, he does seem like a good dude. I was watching something on SNY the other day where he was interviewing Jets players in the cafeteria. He's a character for sure

Brendan
Brendan

@MarshRandy I knew from his time in Pitt that he's a favorite of his teammates, and now it should be easy to see why. A jokester in the caf or in the locker room, but an enforcer on the field who backs up his teammates. How do you not love a guy like that?

drjreefer
drjreefer

@a57se @drjreefer @Brendan

strawmen? nope, just showing how contradicting you are. It's a player you were inlove with = all the chances in the world. A player you didn't want = scrub already.

@Brendan @a57se

Its like he doesn't remember, killing Idzik all week about picking injury prone players. Well his BOY OBJ hasn't practiced a whole week yet.

@a57se Chalk one up for "proving Reef's point for him."

Brendan

@a57se You just think you're proving him wrong.

worst pick of the draft.
how could anyone think this guy would be any good? All he did was perform vs d2 schools.
