OT, but I was just looking at some stats from last year and noticed that we did not have player score a TD out of position(ie. RB catching a TD or a WR Rushing for a TD)

Can help but think that will change this year with CJ.

Michael Irvin, NFL Network: "Let’s give this kid [Geno Smith] a chance to develop. He finally has the receiver in Decker. When you want to get a receiver to help a young guy, you want to bring in a technician. Because he can help a young quarterback. You don’t want to go and bring in a Randy Moss, who, you can give him a play, but he’s going to stick his hand up, and go deep. You need a technician because he’s learning the technical parts of the game. Eric Decker is a technician. It makes a huge difference."

57 beckham still looks like crap.

what a pick!

@jsadolph  Geno scored by running a few times, and so did Sheldon Richardson. At least one of those should probably count. I'm really surprised to hear no RB caught a TD. I wonder how often teams go full years without that happening. WRs rushing are much less common.

@UncleJoesJetFarm  This is like walking into someone living room, taking a big dump on the floor, and then walking out waving and smiling.

@UncleJoesJetFarm

Interesting that the Bengals are complaining about the Jets blitzing...I saw a lot of blitzing from the redskins and browns last night and in other preseason games I watched...not sure who the Bungles have been playing but maybe they ought to take up another sport.

I didn't read the article, but is it about relentless posting of garbage articles.

@hitchhiker Amazing that one of the dumbest guys in the room (Irvin) gets it. No disrespect to Sapp's stupidity. Decker was the perfect guy to bring in for Geno. This will also help the team evaluate if Mr. Smith is the "one", considering Decker will always be in the right place at the right time.

Lights on you Geno, don't let us down.

@a57se @UncleJoesJetFarm The Prisco article quotes Cincinnati players praising the "toughness" Bengals OC Hue Jackson brings to the team. If you're that tough, shouldn't you be able to pick up a blitz by the other team's backups?

@UncleJoesJetFarm

Or a hellova deal for a #3 WR that has been nothing but a role model for the last 2 years.

@a57se @drjreefer "Yeah, it's disappointing. I was really high on the kid. I hope he can recover and pick up the playbook in time to get some chemistry with Eli and make an impact this season"

-a57se answer that would have prevented all the clutter even if the good dr. baited you.

@UncleJoesJetFarm Joseph. You post so much crap in here you can't play the "you don't have to click it" card. You are spamming threads with every negative article you can find.

This article, and the message by the Bengals coach, is the only thing garbage here, besides you posting it.

Complaining because Rex blitzed backups against their backups is so petty and childish. That guy needs to grow up.

I have broad shoulders.

@Bytor @a57se @drjreefer

its pretty simply isn't it?
 but he'd have to admit he has been disappointing and 57 will never do that in fear he'd be wrong.

Bytor

@a57se @Bytor @drjreefer The Dr. set the bait and you took it. You have to admit you do a little baiting yourself. The difference is no one can tell when you're joking anymore. You're way too hard to gauge and we'll always assume the negative now. It's human nature.

Anyway, I'm quite impressed with your persistence.

@drjreefer Engineers, analysts, quants often don't take the simple path or admit they're wrong. In my work I often get brought in to "fix" this. NOT easy because of little self awareness or care even in light of overwhelming proof. Compounding the issue is they are usually the smartest people in the room and don't accept feedback well, if at all. Fun stuff.

@a57se If he made the "#1 offense" comments in a Jets jersey, you'd kill him for it.

haven't you killed idzik for his draft already? Yet Beckham missed 4 weeks of camp already and hurt himself again yesterday!!

strawmen? nope, just showing how contradicting you are. It's a player you were inlove with = all the chances in the world. A player you didn't want = scrub already.

@drjreefer @a57se @Brendan

 EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Odell Beckham Jr. has been making steady progress in his return from the hamstring injury that cost him the first few weeks of training camp, and the hope has been that the New York Giants' first-round pick would be cleared to play in Friday night's preseason game against the Jets. That may still happen, but there was a sign during Monday's practice that Beckham's not all the way back just yet.

Beckham looked fine returning punts and taking some snaps with the offense in team drills, but after one catch he got up gingerly, went to the sideline and seemed to be flexing his leg a bit. He did not return to the field for the remainder of practice, instead standing off to the side and watching with his helmet off.

Naturally, we asked what was up. But coach Tom Coughlin said he didn't know anything about it, and a team spokesman said Beckham had told the Giants he was fine. One person I talked to told me Beckham had been hit in the leg on the play, but that there was no recurrence of the hamstring pull.

What a 'hurt prima donna' he is...ZOMG!! You are SOOOO right!

What was I ever thinking about when I wanted the Jets to pick this guy!!!

Its like he doesn't remember, killing Idzik all week about picking injury prone players. Well his BOY OBJ hasn't practiced a whole week yet.
