I'm still waiting for Hank's 2,000 word posting lambasting the Patriots for not taking care of their own veterans.

@PFF: QB Teddy Bridgewater has an Accuracy Percentage of 80% on plays when Under Pressure this preseason.

Dang, I feel really bad for Saunders. Seizures aren't anything to mess around with.

I think he is giving them a pass because they traded Mankins to his team.

@Brendan Imagine the Browns took Manziel over Teddy & Teddy turns into a star & Manziel total bust.

That sounds like Big Ben type numbers.  IIRC Ben is better after being hit than before.

I am hoping on the Ladarius Green bus this year.  You can get him in the later rounds and I have a feeling that he will break out this year.

A full year of learning from Antonion Gates and he is a freak athelete and he started to come around at the end of last year.  He is not getting that much attention, but he is rated the exact same as Gates.  And Green doesn't have any health issues.

@a57se Scoring system? 3 WR's or 2? Flex position(s)? PPR?

I've known people that get seizures and some can control it with meds and some can't.

With this being Saunders 1st one, lets hope his arn't that bad.

@jsadolph That might just be a product of him playing behind atrocious pass blocking his entire career.

Teddy looked great in this regard against Arizona. 5/5 for 72 yards and a sack while passing under pressure. When blitzed he was 9/12 for 113 with a TD.

And Ben likes to wait 8 sec. to make the throw and by then the WR has broke free and he has been hit a time or 2.

Edit:  I have not got to watch Teddy this year, but I have heard nothing but good about him.

@a57se @jsadolph

I draft on ESPN and he has been there in RD 10 in both leagues.

I am in a 8 team league and a 12 team league.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se He's going anywhere from the 120's to the 150's in terms of overall draft slot.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se I'd target RB's early, since cutting that 3rd WR means there will be a lottttt of WR depth for you.

I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger the other day, eating a chocolate egg and I said "I bet I know what your favorite holiday is".  He responded:

"Have to love Easter, baby!"

@Brendan @a57se

I have done a few mock drafts and have drafted my 2 teams and have noticed on every one of them that the WR's are deep and even the QB's have some depth.  But there are only a few RB's worth starting week in and week out.

I have got off of the the "draft a RB in the 1st RD" wagon in the last few years.  But this year I had to go back to that strategy.

@a57se @jsadolph Good luck 57.

I'd second the Green suggestion.  TY Hilton looked great in preseason and I suspect Wayne is breaking down.  You know I rate Jared Cook.  Ertz looks good too.  And Patterson could be primed for a big year.  (Cordarrelle, not Dimitri).

@a57se @jsadolph

Both of my leagues have mostly the same people in them.  One is an auction and one is a snake draft.  So I can know how some of the people draft and who they will take early and who they will let slide, so it helps with my draft to know where other peoples loyalties lie.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@a57se @Brendan

I usually don't take many Jets on my FFL teams.  If Cumby has a mediocore day, I am not upset with him if we win.  But if he is on my team, I will hold a grudge.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se No loyalties in fantasy football. The only Jet I've drafted so far this year was CJ, only because he was hanging around wayyyy too late in the draft and I could use the backup.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se But the you can get a QB in later rounds that will still score more per week than almost any position player. Unless you're getting Manning, or maybe Rodgers, it isn't even worth considering. The demand for RB's and the amount of quality at the position is the reason people always draft them early. Especially in a 2 WR league where you can pick up starting-quality WR's in mid-rounds.

Brendan
Brendan

@Bent Patterson has gone reallllly early in my leagues so far. It seems people are over-drafting him in hopes he becomes the next great WR this year.

Brendan
Brendan

@jsadolph I lied, I also have Geno as a backup, took him with me 2nd to last pick (kicker is always last). This league requires you to take a backup QB, though, so I probably wouldn't have picked him if I could've rolled with 1 QB.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@Brendan @a57se

I never go QB in the 1st.  You could get Payton, Brees or Rodgers in the 1st or you could wait and get Romo, Cutler, Brady, Rivers in the 5-7th rds.  You may have to get 2 of them to get good production every week, but I usually get 2 anyway.  And the Point diff. between Payton and Romo isn't usually that much.  But the point diff between AP or Shady and a 2nd or 3rd rd RB is huge.

@Bent @bob @NYCPEinGermany

Two farmers were neighboors and had horses in the same field and they looked just alike and so they wanted to do something to tell them apart.

So they decided to cut the main off of one of them and that worked untill the main grew back.

So they decided to shave the tail on one of them and it worked untill the tail grew back.

So they decieded to measure them and see which one was taller.  And sure enough the White one was taller than the Black one.

@Brendan @Bent I got him in the 6th round in the only league I've drafted thus far.

I'm just gonna laugh, and laugh, and laugh all season long.

Rolling with Forte/A. Ellington/D. Martin/V-Jax/Foles/Cordarrelle as my top 6 picks (12 teamer).

@a57se @jsadolph @Brendan

Haha I'm the complete opposite.  Jets' fan with my heart & fantasy player with my head.

If I have any advice for fantasy it would be just to go for value.  Like, it's nice to have a plan & all, but don't be afraid to audible.  You could go into the draft thinking RB, RB 1st 2 rounds, but if you get pick 7, for example, it's better to go ahead & get the top WR or top QB than the 6th or 7th best RB.

I drafted last night, & Chris Johnson went in the 4th Rd, whereas Ivory went in like the 13th.  I'm not saying Ivory will have a better year than CJ, but whoever you get in the 4th instead of CJ + Ivory > CJ in the 4th + whoever you get in the 13th instead of Ivory ....Same with CJ Spiller & Fred Jackson.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@Brendan @jsadolph

I hate to say this(and I have never done it before), but I took Brady as my back-up in one league.  But only because Cutler is my starter and I needed a backup and he was out there in rd. 8 or something rediculous.

Brendan
Brendan

@Marcus Armstrong In 1 point PPR league I'm in, my top-6 picks were (in order): Julio Jones/Brandon Marshall/Montee Ball (3rd round!)/Spiller/Edelman/Gerhart

I am feeling prettyyyyy damn good about that squad. Ended up with Reed at TE and Cutler at QB.

Marcus Armstrong
Marcus Armstrong

@Brendan @Marcus Armstrong I've never done a PPR league... Don't really know what that dynamic looks like. But with Cutler healthy, Marshall will get a crapload of targets, so makes sense.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se Eh, not really, he was the 14th highest scoring QB last year.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@a57se @jsadolph @brendan

With the RB shortage this year.  Even the 2nd tier RBs are going early.

Just like the CB market this offseason.

Brendan
Brendan

@jsadolph In 2012 he was one of the 12 highest scoring QB's, iirc. It was probably one of the best ever examples of fantasy production not reflecting actual level of play.

Brendan
Brendan

@Marcus Armstrong The full point make things a little whacky, but last year Marshall was a top 15 player scoring-wise, and given that there's 3 WR's, it's a position you absolutely want to lock down some studs for

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se He'll push 300 touches, and every rinky dink 3 yard dump off gets me a full point, so I love that pick.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@a57se @jsadolph @Brendan @Bent

Thats a lot of work and it is hard to pick which teams will suck this year.  Who would have guessed that Houston and Atl. would be that bad last year.  Or for that matter, Pitt early in the season would take 7 weeks to get started.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@Brendan @a57se

But should have better numbers this year.  With more experienced WR's and Gronk back.

The improved running game is what will hurt his numbers though.

Brendan
Brendan

@jsadolph I think he'll be improved, he'll be top-10, but he's not someone I'm jumping out of my seat to pick this year.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se You're right, that's the year I was thinking of. Thanks.

@Brendan @a57se

Apparently Tanny plays FFL.

jsadolph
jsadolph

@a57se @jsadolph

Because he looked at the FFL stat line and assumed that Mark was a good QB, when if he would have paid attention to the games he would have realized that Mark also threw for 26 ints. and wasn't worth the HUGE contract that he gave Mark after the year.

BDarc23
BDarc23

@jsadolph @a57se Mark Threw 7 INts the last 3 games that year and ended with 18 total so he was actually having a pretty good year before the meltdown.
