I think Cimini has made it his goal to be the most hated beat writer in sports

The press is having a field day with this Kellen Winslow story!

Am I the only one who likes Brady ? I mean I hate the pats, but I like Brady. (glad there is no down vote lol)

Honestly the only way I could be more excited about Sunday's games is if we were involved..

As for Rex, is there any real job security in the NFL ? Not big news imo. WE MUST WIN..only thing that can secure a gig in this league.

Is getting rid of Cromartie really the right move? I think he's overrated and his 2012 season was the only season I saw him with the Jets actually play up to his hype. But he went right back to same old overrated Cromartie form in 2013, and I wasn't surprised. Granted there aren't many athletes like Antonio Cromartie in the league, and I was very happy to hear last off season that he held a camp for DB's which shows excellent leadership skills that you want to see from your expensive Vet. I think that bringing him back next year for what we owe him is just plain dumb, and a waste of a valuable 15 million. But should we just completely part ways with Cro and just call it quits, I have a feeling that this is a tougher decision then you would think at first glance.

I heard that Brady got the clap while on a private tour of a Cambodian orphanage for boys.

@jake100 These are wrong. We've already voted Bob the Dog as the top beat writer for the Jets this year.

@Marvel I can objectively state that he's one of the 3 best QB's of all time, and with Peyton is probably the best football player I've ever seen. But he's still an a-hole.

@Marvel

Now we just have to hope Idzik can get some talent in here for Rex.

I am a big fan of incentive laden contracts for players but I am not so sure about incentive laden contracts for coaches.

@jake100 I think it's only gonna be big stories like yesterday's Rex Extension that bring in the FB comments. I would think the daily links and stuff will be the same old commenters

@jake100

I guess this guy missed the fact that Beasley is returning to Clemson.....

@jake100 That's what I was talking about below.

I think we'll give that one a wide berth.  Family show and all.

Go to deadspin if you're interested peeps.

@jake100 @Kyle Ely having inside info doesn't impress me that much, any beat writer has access to the locker room. He's an awful writer, it gives me a headache reading his articles

How do you feel about the QB position. ? Should Rex be blamed if the talent is upgraded but Geno (an Idzik guy) fails ?

joemustgo
joemustgo

@a57se@MarvelAgreed. Rex may not want to gamble his future on Geno's continued development and may decide to start whatever journeyman we bring in.

@a57se

Idzik and whoever evaluates the talent pool. I know its not to be expected, but we need players that can play immediately via the draft and we must hit on our signings. Like them or not, injury or court, Barns and Goodson didn't meet expectations.

Also I fear we may fumble the QB situation once more, I really don't see us moving from or bringing in comp for Geno. And what happens when he gets new toys but we see the same geno. I have a lot of doubt.

@jake100 @Bent I think Dom Consentino's story on Winslow qualifies as "Pro-nudity"

@Marcus Armstrong @Bent  Google translate says this means:

"1 really felt like in spite of the poverty of the week. He's parking lot. It's the freedom. Team goals immigration platform targeted development. Choose life tours, a lot of immigration issues. Live across the recipe box. Bikes soft to push traffic."

It's all starting to make sense!

@Marcus Armstrong@jake100@Kyle Ely

The Cimidiot relies on ESPN folks for his technical stuff and has utilized enough flat out wrong 'analysis' to clearly show he doesn't know all that much about football.

I think most fans on this Blog know more about Football than the majority of our beat writers..........

@MarshRandy He's an awful reporter, but he's actually a good writer, which is partially what makes his act so frustrating. He is capable of worthwhile reporting/writing, but he chooses not to in order to generate the page clicks.

I tend to agree here. Geno is far from a sure thing. The only thing he proved as a rookie is that he is wildly inconsistent. I do like Geno's demeanor though and his temperament was just great. He never got too high or too low.

Now drafting guys like Hill and Vlad who take years to learn how to play a child's game is just dumb. Hey I have a great idea. Lets teach a 22 year old how to catch the ball. 7 year olds can do it so maybe if we teach him at 22 he can maybe good when he turns 26. This is why we have a practice squad and an Arena League. You don't waste 2nd round picks on guys who can't play pro football especially when you are so thin at the position that they have to step in and play immediately. Just dumb.

Now if Idzik spends as much time focusing on WR, RB, TE, and QB as the Jets have spent focusing on d-lineman the past 4 years then there is no doubt the offense will improve. Heck if he spends half the time the offense will STILL improve.

This isn't rocket science

@a57se @jake100 @MarshRandy The FB comments were coming in by the dozens. It was so confusing and overwhelming. It also broke up the discussions the regulars were trying to have. The SNY guy, Andrew V, had to come in and explain what was going on, while deleting probably 50-100 comments.

A little? That was as good a temper tantrum as any two year old would throw!

He even used the "I'm taking my balll and going home:" approach....loved the "Sorry you feel that way" answer!!
