"Who needs to step up game by game?"... Are they for real with that article?? Whoever allowed that article to be published deserves to be shot. Thats a joke of an article. I though they were going to debate who needs to step up from last year to make the team better this year, that would have been a logical discussion and an article worth reading. Other for the obvious Geno Smith... I think if Coples steps his game up, our defense is going to go off. We wont even need to add anyone else to the backfield if Coples is going off along with Wilks and Richardson.

Most important player of every game this year: Geno Smith/Mike Vick

That Star-Ledger article is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen

So... I watched a lot of Dennard tape last night.  I REALLY want him to go from green and white to green and white. Dude is insane.

Don't for get the  NFL new rule book sates that you can cut the lawn how you must have the Proper specifications posted on the sit down lawn mower. In addition in regard to watering the lawn all sprinkler system must be turn off during 2 minute warning in the 4th quarter.

All player must  have a time card and punch in at the clock time clock when entering the field and punch out when leaving the field.

I know everyone expects us to lose to the broncos but I think we'll beat them. We're built a lot like Seattle defensively if we can do some of the things they did we'll be fine. That offense is a lot less scary without decker and Moreno. We still need to settle the second cb spot. Rex has a score to settle with Peyton.

That Star-Ledger piece. Yikes.

@Mike Milea  I agree, What a waste of space on the internet. That article had potential too. They had Geno as the "step up" guy in game one, and Vick as the "step up" guy in game 17.

What a joke.

@MarshRandy  You'll eat those words when Bohanon scores 3 TDs against Pittsburgh.

@NJ libertarian  Gotta feeling that you may get your wish (Dennard). CB is one of our needs....and he is arguably the BPA.

@NJ libertarian  I've def talked myself into going CB at 18. Haven't seen much tape but I trust your/everyone's opinion that Dennard is real good

@bob

Somebody should tell Roy Hibbert it's time to clock in,  the playoffs have started.

Yeah but Peyton will be playing in the regular season so he won't choke against us.

That is why I think Lee is the perfect fit. If Evans were to fall to 18 the Jets would have to take him. Though with him the middle would be plogged up.

@jake100

Each team does draft the best player available for their team.

There isn't one BPA board except maybe in the world of fantasy and mock drafts.   There are 32 separate boards done up by each team that takes into account "their" needs.

@jake100  Someone brought this up a week or so ago and I think most, if not everyone, agreed with it. Either a "focused BPA" approach, where you aren't focusing on certain positions at certain stages of the draft, or the need-influenced board, which is something I've suggested in the past.

Need will obviously play a part in how teams target, scout and rank players. And since it's unlikely every team does it the same way, it'd be so interesting if we ever got a glimpse into that. I think Jerry Jones gave a looksie on Hard Knocks, but I'd rather see it done by someone who is good at it.

Looks like Perez was just pulling names out of a hat.  Jacoby Ford in week 8.  I doubt he sees week 1.  Tommy Bohanon in Week 10.  If Bohanon is ever the key player in a game we are in trouble.

@Roger Kappe

Yeah, that was silly....everyone knows the step-up guy in game one is Vick and the step-up guy in game 17 will be Geno!

It's just how I feel I'm not afraid of them I think we can hold there offense under 25 points. I think the fear of the broncos is lost its luster after that installement of Sunday night smack down.

@Brendan @jake100  Yeah, I posted a comment from something that Mel Kiper had a discussion about.

Most team have 4-5 needs....and then pick a player who is still available (BPA)  from those needs.

It's why I don't think QB is a need...just maybe a "want"...but we have other priorities.

@jsadolph And even when it's a good pick (Harris/Vikings) there's not actual reasoning behind it.

"Harris had lots of tackles and this team has a good RB. So....that seems like it should be something, right?"

@jake100 @lagoo  That is some bad break we caught with PM and TB in four days.  Going 1-1 is a victory and morale builder.

@Bent @jake100

The difference to me is the way it is worded comes off as the Jets are copying the Seahawks.....which is NOT the case.

I guess reporters are really searching for stories at this time of year. Give credit at least for a unique approach to the schedule coming out.
