The only thing that's a bigger POS than the Rant article is Mike Florio.

The rant sports link is not five reasons.  They don't correlate the first two reasons with CJ...What the hell do the Pats have to do with CJ failing?  And while the QB play is important to his success, they used the excuse that the running game will be asked to carry more of the load.  Doesn't that give more a reason for CJ to likely succeed?....not a very good presentation to support their premise.

Brendan you have to be loving that Dennard is dropping in everyone's mock draft

Cimini is wrong about Pryor, he's not just a hitter he can play centerfield too. I doubt that Pryor is a jet since there should be better players available at 18. If Ha-Ha fell to the jets at 18, they would have to take him, no?

The McManus article wasn't bad. Especially considering she's the least talented beat writer. Cimini was actually right when he tweeted out that negative tweet about her writing.

I don't like Florio saying nice things about the Jets. It doesn't feel right.

If Ebron fell to 18, and Cooks and Beckham are still available...I say Ebron. Anyone feel differently? My argument is there should still be a good WR available in the 2nd, while TEs drop off pretty quick if Amaro or ASJ are gone.

With a name like Rant Sports I would only expect baseless ranting of people who don't wish to make a reasoned argument.

I'm glad I'm not the first person commenting to say that the Rant Sports article is pure garbage. With regard to the Jets looking at Calvin Pryor though, watching some of his highlights, the dude is going to get flagged for a billion defenseless receiver penalties

Mosley in round 2 isn't going to happen

Know the feeling.   There's usually one position that you can't address the way you want.   For me it alternates between the CB and ILB.    That's what happened in the mock I listed below a while ago...just couldn't do justice to ILB.

Your picks look a lot like my mocks, so I'd be delighted if we did this well.  Not a fan of Fiedorowicz, though.  He's like this huge wooden soldier, and not a play-maker.     Would love to get Mosley...and trying to work a draft where we get both him and Lawrence!   Ouch!

@a57se

Half the time, interested teams see these desired players go before the teams are on the clock.   The saving grace is after the first few picks, the chances of a crap shoot  emerge in the draft.   I am not underestimating researching a player, it makes it all the more important.

Lawrence could be an absolute beast on the edge!   He and Attaochu are probably my top two choices for replacing Pace....unless of course we get Mack...chuckle chuckle...or Barr.

@Kyle Suta

He's very wrong about Pryor.  Pryor can play the Big Nickel role and cover in the slot.

I've been saying it since Louisville's proday when everyone made a big deal about Idzik being there to "see" Bridgewater."  He was there to see Pryor but the press was too thick to recognize that.

Depends if Lee is still on there at 18.

@jetlife  Ebron + any WR we get in the 2nd, and I will be lactating in ecstasy.

marc55

@jetlife I agree with taking him over Cooks or Beckham.  Are there any defensive players you would take over Ebron though?

@Disgruntled Jets Fan     I do not disagree with you... But there is irony in someone named "Disgruntled Jets Fan" making that comment.

Success in getting both Mosley and Lawrence.

18- ILB Mosley

49- WR Moncrief

80-OLB Lawrence

104-CB McGill

115-RB Hill

137-TE Fiedorowicz (all the other TE's long gone)

154-OG Thomas (ACL and all)

195-OLB Pierre-Louis

209-ILB George

210-Van Der Kamp

213-WR Hoffman

233-OT Patchan

Not in love with some of the second half, but really like the top five.

115 - G Dakota Dozier

137 - RB Lache Seastrunk

154 - S Telvin Smith

195 - QB Tom Savage

209 - CB Louchiez Purifoy

210 - S Dez Southward

213 - DT Deandre Coleman

233 - WR TJ Jones

@a57se @Wilkershakes   I hadn't read any of the comments below at the time.  Funny responses though.  I apparently should've taken a dump on it to join the rest.

@a57se @jetlifewith the defenslesss receiver rule being called more and more I agree. Speed receivers who used to be afraid to go over the middle are being given carte blanche..guys like beckham or cooks might become overpowered in todays NFL

...Ebron.doesn not look like vernon davis to me in his game footage. I think I take beckham or coooks over ebron as well.

No need for a disclaimer 57. LOL

@a57se @jetlifeThe better player, whoever that is, is more valuable.  Ebron is more of a matchup headache, so I would rather take him.

@Marcus Armstrong It's a bastardized version of a BR clone. A poor man's BR, which is like a homeless man's ESPN or a dead person's Deadspin.

@marc55 @Disgruntled Jets Fan I'm less disgruntled these days now that we got rid of Tebow.  And I reserve the right to be disgruntled while still recognizing that arguments full of logical fallacies are worthless.   :)

Mosley at 18 is more realistic. But Moncrief in the 2nd, yikes.

@jdb4 @marc55@Kyle Sutathis guy looks good sure tackler and good in coverage.. and he stuffed his nose into a pile to  force the run inside.

I dont think we can go wrong when Rex drafts defensive players.

jdb4

@a57se @jdb4

It was a terrible decision. (Shocking Nova...)  The throw was strong even though it was telegraphed.

It was the fact that Pryor had the speed to change direction and make a play on the ball.

williamg1

@jetlife @williamg1 @marc55  If we picked Dennard at 18, I'd be fine. But if the Jets pick him over OBJ or Cooks, I have a feeling this place will explode.

jetlife
jetlife

@williamg1 @marc55 Yes Mack for sure, but he likely could go top 10, maybe even top 5. Dennard at 18 is tempting too.
