Love Westy but he would get torched if he commented on this blog!

Like I've been saying, Justin Hunter > Stephen Hill.

Guys I'm watching tonight on defense: Demario Davis and QC. If those guys keep stepping up our front 7 will be at a place where corners are optional

Pryor is gonna play, let's see how quickly he picks up the game and scares receivers in the middle of the field

Being a Jets' fan from Ohio (45 minutes north of Cincy) there is no way I cannot go to this game tonight ...even if it is only preseason.  & trust me, if AA shuts down AJ, I will make sure everyone around me knows, kinda like I did with Revis and Chad Johnson in that '09 playoff game ha.

Joey,

Are you enjoying all those conversations you are having with yourself? (lol)

Must  be all that time alone on the farm

Guys, I am gearing up for my own website "Uncle Joe's Jet farm"  I have support from two writers from an AFCE blog along with several posters from twitter with nice followings. It will take a little time, but I will let you know when the final product is complete. The blog will specialize on the Jets, but also keep tabs on our rivals in the East! Go Jets!

We know Geno knows the offense inside and out now and can manage a game, but he MUST be able to make things happen out there to get this team to real contender status. Tonight we shall see!

UncleJoesJetFarm
UncleJoesJetFarm

Tonight we get a glimpse of the near future. Will Geno show that he can move the chains and the the offense punch a couple in? Will a wounded secondary hold up against a top ranked passing attack? Will a 3rd wr step up? Will the rookies Amaro and Pryor show that they are the real deal and capable of making an impact right out of the gates? Will the oline dominate the line of scrimmage and play as a cohesive unit? Eyes on Winters. Lets get it on come on!

The Jets will never overtake the Giants? Ever? That is long time, even by Farm standards!

Heh...he'd also be far and away the most informed and knowledgeable poster.

@marshrandy What about Rex saying the two most important positions where you win and lose games is QB and CB. Dont delude yourselves, offenses can adapt to pressure with spreading the offense out and getting rid of the ball quick, see Dalton last season in that massacre! You need a covering secondary in today's NFL!!!!

@marcus81  This we do know that he's a smart football player. I'm guessing we may see Pryor around the ball alot tonight.

@boose2  if Allen becomes a CB I hope Josh Bush grows up quickly, Allen played well towards the end of the year at safety

@boose2

Going to the game. thats cool boose2. I guessing the coaches are turning to Antonio Allen hoping that his football instincts can compensate for the lack of experance at the position. Im pulling for Antonio big time I really hoping he does well to night. and if he does that will be awesome.or should i say amazing.

I don't read cimini as it is why would I read his clone?

I would suggest you change you're picture from a wizard to something Jets related. Unless you're goal is to be the #1 blogger in Middle Earth, in which case then leave it alone.

@Joe/Orlando

That wouldn't stop people from ripping him when he questioned Milliner or Geno...

@UncleJoesJetFarm @marshrandy "I never said I had to have the top corner in football," said Ryan, who actually had that player from 2009 to 2012 inDarrelle Revis. "My defenses work, period. I don't care what anybody thinks. We take what we have and we work around it."

@UncleJoesJetFarm @marshrandy Yep that a very good point . Where gonna need Mr Wilson to pick up the hot receiver. I guessing That the safteys my have to give help ovet the top a little more right now. which may bind Rex up a little however Rex still can stunt with the d-line men aand line backers I guess.

marcus81
marcus81

@bob @marcus81  even if he draws penalties if he intimidates receivers it will be worth it, of course as long nobody gets hurt

bob

@marcus81 @boose2

Ya know what marcus81 i was thinking the same thing. I hope. go Josh he's madew this far.

@bob @boose2

I think Rex said it best ...if AA can hang with AJ Green, then he can guard almost anyone in the league.  To me, AJ has just reached the point in his career where not too many CBs, let alone safeties transitioning into CBs, can take him one-on-one the whole game.  In fact, there is really only one - Revis Island.  But I'm with ya,  Bob ..it would be very promising to our secondary if AA can prove he can hang with TEs & WRs.

@johnnyl65 @UncleJoesJetFarm @marshrandy

What exactly does a guy have to do to get the benefit of the doubt here? Elite defenses with no elite corners in Baltimore? Check. Elite defenses with no elite safeties every year in NY? Check. Elite defenses with unheralded linemen like Pouha and Harrison? Check.

Dude should not have to be pointing out that his defense is flexible and reliably good at this point.

@marcus81 @bob

If he isn't hitting them hard enough to hurt them, he's not going to intimidate them.

bob

@marcus81 @bob

Yep he's gonna be fun to watch. I guessing the safteys may be giving alot of help over the top to the cb,s maybe right now, well see. a least we should be better at not giving up the deep ball down feild .

@boose2 @bob

I'm with ya there AJ Green is awesome receiver. I'll say this AA is very smart I'm sure he was watching Revis alot when Revis was with the Jets. The refs are throughing a lot of flags at the DB,s Im guessing playing at db gonna be a little harder this year
