Does Boller's firing has anything to do with the Draft?

so if it comes down to cutting Nelson or Hill I wonder who goes...

Cab't wait until the Jets start cutting some of these football players who are still on the roster who contributed nothing in 2012 and 2013. Can't wait until they take out the garbage, The more new faces on the roster the better as far as I am concerned. Survival of the fittest baby, Could care less about potential......start producing or get the F off the Jets roster......Only exceptions are guys who contribute meaningfully on special teams or who have been designated to the practice squad.

Waiting anxiously for a BGA on Milliner.

@Pablo Bruno

Probably not.  The team drafted Evans and Reilly, both of which would be in his region.

It likely had to do with standard business procedure.  Conflicting personalities, disagreement over  "whatever."  It could be any number of things.

@levi Nelson although he made contributions last year, he was had because no one else wanted him. Hill considering his upside and youth, there would be no question someone will pick him up, and when he becomes a star on another team, I don't want to hear any whining. Nelson at best can be a solid complimentary player for some team, and at worst Hill can be a star that can haunt us for years especially if he goes to an AFC East rival. Now think about that.

@bradysucks

In an Idzik regime, the organizational mantra is "competition".

In a Bradysucks regime, the organizational mantra is "spite".

@jdb4 @Pablo Bruno I hope your'e right, and it's not someone messed up in the draft and it's just now that they are figuring out they messed up..lol, can you imagine, we held on to all 12 picks, just to pick up players that could have been had in UDFA, when we could have used some of those latter picks for talent in the earlier rounds.

Lol

Actually my mantra is "production"

I like the Parcells coaching style and it gets results

You just are a guy who is soft.....you know you are...you wanna be a mommy

to these guys....at some point if guys don't produce you get rid of them and if this is spite then so be it....strong survive

@jake100 Thats a slippery slope knowing when to step up for a title shot or take a couple more fights. Say you opt to wait on the title shot and lose the next fight then you start all over again. The Russian is tough, good luck to your boy.

@bradysucks You seriously don't understand how the NFL or any League for that matter works.

bradysucks

Lol

In the NFL the strong survive and the weak perish....

But since I understand nothing about the NFL and you know so much then why don't YOU tell everybody the way the NFL works...??? Then tell us the meaning of the universe. Enlighten us.

Last I checked the NFL is about winning and when teams don't win and miss the playoffs 3 years in a row the result is CHANGE

You can't give up on young players because they don't produce right away. Some players development sooner than others, the league isn't gonna end anytime soon. Yeah would you like your player contribute significantly right away? Sure, but is there that big a difference if Hill goes on and have a great career after his 3rd yr and not his 1st. There's 53 roster spots for a reason.

Actually young players get cut from NFL rosters every single year on every single team.

Falling in love with players who aren't getting it done who contribute nothing on special teams is a mistake. Guys have a learning curve their rookie year. We all know this....but if they are gonna start they should be by productive and if they aren't producing by their 3rd year it is a red flag.

The league is full of developmental players who went on to become great.
