I see us winning 10 games this year I like what I saw in the last game thou he offense looked the same as always weak but I trust they will be a balanced team

Instead of trying to get one fan to lead the chant, the Jets should start a group that circumvents lower parts of the stadium called the Juggalo Jets. They would be adorned in traditional Juggalo garb with green and white facepaint and green hair.  They would essentially be like rodeo clowns(no pun intended) that pump up the crowd.  Why have one superfan when you can have a family of Jugglos

Bleh. Just found out that only CBS-2 will be broadcasting Jets/Bengals.

I have a question about the ALS challenge. Anyone know when this was filmed? It looks like a healthy Dex McDougle is standing next to Ryan.

Maybe 10 games decided by 2

@jetlife  This is a really good idea. I like the idea of having a gang of Jets loons all over the stadium getting everyone crazy.

@jetlife I feel like the bigger part of it is that he's apparently going to be on Showtime.

@a57se

Obviously not a very GOOD look at the Dolphins !!

I hope fans don't put their money based on this half-assessed article !!

@a57se AFC East every team is improved. Pats were very smart to jack up the secondary, Bills may finally be able to break Spiller out. Fish Tannehill is a question mark but he seems to be getting better. If the Jets offense becomes an average one, we should win 10 games. Big IF

@DarrolRayRanClub

He has a brace on.  Definitely not healthy...

@DarrolRayFanClub I've never torn an ACL, but I have several close friends who have.  One who has twice.  After the tear, the person can still walk around fine.  In fact, most people rehab their leg to around 80% before getting the surgery done.

@DarrolRayFanClub Yesterday, wasn't it?  Or the day before.  Certainly post-injury.

We didn't put him on IR yet - maybe he's recovered already!

@a57se Two things on that.

1. When they re-graded the game, he was bumped up to a -1.7.

2. He was worse than -1.7 in seven of 12 games last year and only better than -1.0 twice.

@Hanknaples In case you missed it below Hank.

My apologies Hank, I did not mean to make stuff up about you or insult you.

Its official then, its a bet. The wounded Warrior foundation will be the real winner but I think I will get some bragging rights out of this too.

@Hanknaples Funny, this is exactly what the Dolphins fans are saying in the comments section of that article.

@WW85 @a57se Pats may just have a problem at center and one of the guard positions as of right now. Thats what I'm hearing.

@Rudibager @DarrolRayFanClub

I have partially tore both of mine a few times and it only takes a few days to get back to walking without much of a limp.  But when I fully tore my ACL I was down and didnt do much walking for about 3 weeks.

@Bent @DarrolRayFanClub if you look at the end of the video when everyone is running and jumping and going crazy you can see someone helping him walk. it is in the final seconds after geno runs thru the frame. He also seems to be in pain throughout the video. looking down at his legs and sometimes clenching his fists.... I dont think that was the best idea, having him in the middle of that without even a brace on his leg

@Bent @a57se So he's improved a bit on his level of suckitude - let's hope the arrow keeps pointing up

The Pats did it Tuesday and challenged the Jets. The Jets did it yesterday.

It's certainly possible for people with ACL tears to walk around with only a slight limp after injury and pre-surgery, but standing barefoot on a track waiting to run away from a water dousing seems a bit much. I'm very confused.

@NYCPEinGermany @Bent @a57se As I've said before if Winters improves from terrible to bad that's still an upgrade over last year.

Brendan

@Hanknaples Hank, that was me comparing you to a Dolphins fan, it wasn't intended as a compliment.

Is it definitely him?

I know Revis was still working out in the lead up to his surgery.

@Bent @NYCPEinGermany @a57se

Perhaps some game specific planning will help as well - I liked last year when they started to let him roam and help as needed as opposed to matching on on someone (who often mauled him).

@Brendan

Stay out of it...phoney !!

PS you have issues, you do know that, right??

Bent

@a57se Maybe he won't.  Remember how they hesitated for a few weeks before they could bring themselves to IR Revis?

Brendan
Brendan

@NYCPEinGermany It's also tough to ask Mangold to pick up a DT who could be lined up shaded outside of Winters, or have Brick block down and leave an end for the TE's/RB's to deal with.

Winters just needs to be better, otherwise the team will continue to struggle. If he goes from "holy christ is he awful" to "bad" that'd be enough of an improvement for the line to survive, I think. Most lines have one guy who isn't very good on it, but if he's tumbling backwards 10x a game, things are going to be rough again.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples You're going to need a better insult than that if you hope to rattle me.

Hanknaples

@Brendan

And if you think I would take ANYTHING from you as a compliment....you DO have issues !!!

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se Is the article saying that, though? It's basically saying the key to Winters being a good player is to stay focused on his technique. It didn't say he has already figured that out, just that he's getting better at it. His coaches see things we don't, and if he had a mediocre game while not falling victim to the drive-ending screw-ups he had last year his coaches could simply be pointing that out as improvement.

I don't think anyone is putting forth the idea that he's "vastly improved." They're talking specifically about one aspect of his game, which very well could have been much improved over last year even if he had a few hiccups that would tank his PFF grade.

NYCPEinGermany
NYCPEinGermany

@Brendan @a57se

if this guy doesn't improve soon, someone else will be in there anyway. Kinda sucks hoping he's just 'bad'

Bent
Bent moderator

@a57se That's exactly how Ducasse played this week with the Vikes.  And you can bet if he was still a Jet, most people would be focusing on the negatives.

NYCPEinGermany
NYCPEinGermany

@Bent @a57se One can only hope that the coaches see in Winters a guy with a much more consistent future, though likely with less spectacular plays. But I'd take steady over great and sucks, I just hope he can claw his way to steady.

NYCPEinGermany
NYCPEinGermany

@a57se @Bent

I think Bent was saying Ducasse played for the Vikes like he did for us in the past, not that he played like Winters or that Winters played like him

Brendan
Brendan

@Bent That's that "blocking within the scheme" stuff that Heller was talking about.

Bent
Bent moderator

@Brendan @Bent I can't find anyone on that play who would deserve a negative for their part in it.  That's rare.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se

I think you're ignoring how crappily Ducasse played in the two games before his benching.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se He had a -6.0 and a -5.2 grades his final two games. -11.2 over 2 games is worse than any 2-game stretch that Winters had.
