Film Room: OC Candidate Staying Busy Hitting Half-Courters

Right now the Jets are looking to fill spots everywhere on their coaching staff as well as at the General Manager spot.  Late last week it was noted that former Jets assistant Pep Hamilton who is now the OC at Stanford would take an interview with the Jets, a fact later confirmed when it was made known he will be interviewing tomorrow with the Jets.

Hamilton might be considered one of the brightest minds in the NCAA game and has a track record of working with impressive names like Andrew Luck.

With that in mind, it looks like the pressure is not getting to Pep, who sunk a half court shot at a Stanford basketball game over the weekend …

Just sayin …

Giants should look at recently released AJ Hawk and Reggie Bush... AJ would be a nice veteran presence to solidify our LBs and Reggie would be the back who can catch the ball out of the backfield and make a big play... Giants have always lacked a catching back... Bush would be a great veteran compliment to Jennings and Williams....

The Giants need to add a coverage oriented linebacker a dlinemen a safety a running back and an offensive linemen in free agency. Jon Beason will take a payout or get released and Eli will get extended. Estimating contracts and salary cap room: let's say we're at $25 million right now before Eli and Beason. 15 goes to JPP franchise tag, 6 to signing rookies. That leaves 9, say between both restructures we gain another 7 mil in cap space. That gives up 16 million to work with. We could get Bruce Carter - 4 mil/season. Rolle back at 3.5/ season. Now there's roughly 9.5 million left to split up between a dlinemen offensive linemen and a running back. Could probably get a Shane vereen / Reggie Bush, Osi and a G/T. That allows for us to go BPA in the draft hopefully coming out with defenders at each level, an offensive linemen and some offensive playmakers/ returners
