Former Jets CB Aaron Berry signs with Browns

Unrestricted free agent cornerback Aaron Berry has signed with the Cleveland Browns according to USA Today.

Berry was making an impression last year before he tore his ACL early on in training camp. The Jets did reach out to him at the beginning of free agency, but have since re-signed Darrin Walls and Ellis Lankster, drafted Dexter McDougle and Brandon Dixon and signed Dimitri Patterson as a free agent, so it’s not really a surprise to see him catch on elsewhere.

Mike Pettine has been bringing in a lot of ex-Jets cornerbacks this offseason. The Browns released another ex-Jet cornerback – Julian Posey – last week and still have two others – Royce Adams and Isaiah Trufant – on their roster.

Good luck, Aaron. Maybe we'll resign you in two years after the Browns fire their entire braintrust again in the next housecleaning.

Pettine just wants the updates to Rex's playbook.  The guy is a scrap artist at best.

I believe so.  I wonder what the guy was thinking by leaking info to that scumbag.  Was it a power trip?  Was he just dumb?  Who knows...  Maybe Rex's next book will shed some light on it.
