Their Previous Meeting: The last time these two teams met, it was another banner performance in the chilled Ralph Wilson Stadium. Just as he would start the season, Mark Sanchez quite fittingly ended it in Buffalo after Greg McElroy, who had supplanted Sanchez as starter, was out with a concussion. As Tim Tebow continued to stew on the sidelines, things started out well enough with Nick Folk hitting a 47 yard field goal in the first quarter however, that was marred by a poorly thrown ball by Sanchez which Bryan Scott picked off and ran back 20 yards to give Buffalo six points. The Jets offense did respond but were stalled on third down on two drives in the second leading to two Folk field goals that gave New York the narrow 9-7 lead. From thereon, it got ugly quickly. On a defensive breakdown which included a couple missed tackles, C.J. Spiller exploded for a 66 yard rushing touchdown. Both teams would not score in the third however, Buffalo struck twice in the fourth with Brad Smith and Tashard Choice running the ball in for scores. The Bills handily defeated the Jets 28-9.
