What the Farm wants tomorrow is #1, the Jets stay healthy. #2 , that the Jets show progress in some weak areas. I don't care if we win or lose as this rivalry is exaggerated. I just want to see Geno be more than a game manager and move the ball and when we get in the red zone, punch it in!  I want to see a competent secondary. Another area that I want to see progress in, is the pass rush up front. Without that this season, the Jets will have a rough time. It is only a preseason game, so a win or loss does not mean that much, but both teams I am sure, want to give their respective fan bases some hope going into the regular season and show some improvement

man alot of people are crapping on Kyle Wilson recently. DO people pay attention? or do they just read newspapers and listen to the announcers opinion. Hes rated as a top 5 slot corner. Not only is he not a bust but jets should make it a priority to resign him in the offseason. Do people remember Slot guys owning us in 2009, 2010?( before wilson adjusted to the NFL and moved to nickle full time). People were IN LOVE with Drew Coleman our former nickle back, but slot receivers were putting up 100+ yards on us constantly. I just dont get it.

@Bent The Jets' best player is so bad they're still letting him compete for rookie awards!

@Brendan

For $125, I'd expect more than just dinner from the porterhouse.

I was in the city this week for a conference...got taken to dinner by vendors (aka legal bribe) to one of those overpriced midtown joints I'd never go to myself. That was still waaay cheaper.

Jeebus. I can go get an amazing three course meal at a top restaurant here for that.

@greggreen TOTJ has a pretty thorough read on Wilson. Put his name in their search box and read Mythbusting: Kyle Wilson's 2013 season. I rely mostly on this site for Jets info, but that article really put into words what I couldn't express.

@greggreen He's not as good as some people say he is.  He's not as bad as some people say he is.

@greggreen I dunno guys, I don't get the love for him at all. I just don't see him as very effective at his job. Slot corner is a really tough job. Maybe he stinks, but stinks less than other guys? Or incredibly lucky?

@Brendan @Bent Reminds me of the Derek Jeter commercial where he wanted to win the rookie of the year award again and when he was told he couldn't he got a fake nose and started calling himself Derek Jeterburg.

Can't find a record of that anywhere other than a few people wondering if anyone else remembers it, so I think it may have been banned.

@Bytor @greggreen @Bytor @greggreen  Someone linked to that here, I believe.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, they went through every target and were ultra-critical about his part in any that weren't successful.

I totally agreed with this in principle, although they were a tad over the top in how critical they were IMO but that was probably for effect.  The conclusion that his performance wasn't as good as his numbers suggest was correct though.

@DarrolRayFanClub @greggreen Agreed, it is on the outside that he struggles. He is a top slot corner though. I don't know if that justifies his high draft pick, but right now it is ALL HANDS ON DECK! We need him right now, beggars can't be choosy!

@UncleJoesJetFarm  He's usually in the right spot, but he's usually not looking at the ball. He gets lucky fairly often and he's frustratingly inconsistent.

I wouldn't say he's elite at what he does, but there aren't many that are.

@Disgruntled Jets Fan Ah, okay. As a frequenter of the steak joints in the city, I could tell you if they took you to a legit place, or what I like to call "TGI Friday's for young professionals" like Hillstone.

@Brendan @UncleJoesJetFarm Very good analysis on him. I think he is worth keeping, as long as they use him to his strengths. If he was used primarily on the outside, he would be a liability. Lankster/Walls would fare much better in my opinion, on the outside.

They weren't from the city, so I doubt they knew the good places. They were google mapping the place and tried to walk down broadway to get there (conference was by Times Square) and I had to stop that madness. Holy crap, wlking in that area makes me homicidal.

@UncleJoesJetFarm

Typically the outside is easier to play, because you can use the sideline to your advantage. That's why it's such a shame about Dex - we would've seen a bit more of wilson on the outside and had a better idea of where he is in that role now.

@Disgruntled Jets Fan Hahaha, walking down Broadway through Times Square is my literal hell on earth scenario. It's NYC's version of Disney, just neon everything to attract tourists.

@NYCPEinGermany It depends on the skill set of the CB, some are more proficient like Wilson in the slot others excel on the outside. The difference is easy to see when you look at his results at both positions. I agree about Dex, definitely a shame.
