OK, I am still effin bored so here comes a new GOT trivia question. This one should be pretty easy!

What two Game of Thrones characters said "Thank You" to someone right before killing them?

So often I get excited when I come to this site and see a post with so many comments just to be let down when it's a bunch of ridiculousness posted by Hank and everyone else arguing with him. It's not funny. It's not entertaining. It's like that one kid in Kindergarten that acts out for the attention. I don't normally acknowledge that particular individual because it just initiates more acting out, but I just wanted to state how annoying it has been lately.

I need a new jersey. The easy choice is Wilkshake but Im thinking about Pryor. Its risky buying a rookies jersey though, just ask those people who bought a Sanchez one. But Im thinking Pryor is gonna be an exciting player to watch.

Im thinking about making a bet with Hank for a jersey. He has a lot of confidence in Miami and Cleveland this year....

Wait doh minute!..... I think Rex and Mike Pittine are working the media to stay in the headlines A well thought threw scheem working right now to stay popular as coaches. seems kinda fishy...Looks like they just hook Bellichick in on DA hohky pohky.

More Brady BS over drinks.  last year the Jets D killed him in two games , one win and one should have been a in given away by the offense. over the last few years we've bet him in the regular season and payoffs and this year our D could tell him before every play and still pound his sorry assinto the turf

I'd imagine getting your hands on a playbook is rather easy. I know they have to hand their playbook in when they get cut, but I find it hard to believe that there aren't extra copies floating around.

And now, their putting these things on iPads.

Bedard: Media misconstrued Pettine anecdote

http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/bedard-media-misconstrued-pettine-anecdote

Just shows how STUPID the media is

The author of the original piece, Greg Bedard, joined Sports Tonight to clear the air on the story, and he wasn't very happy about the way the story was misconstrued by the media.

"I'm upset about it because I think this is an example of problems that plague our industry," said Bedard. "I wrote over three thousand words on Mike Pettine… this was just a funny anecdote in the story. It was Mike Pettine busting some chops. A story about Tom Brady busting the Jets' chops. That's all it was. It's ridiculous, all of this.

"If I thought this was a story, would I have waited until the 22nd graf?" explained Bedard. "It wasn't in the headline, it wasn't in the subdeck, it was barely highlighted in the story."

What was Pettine's purpose for the anecdote in the context of Bedard's story?

"It was obviously a joke, maybe I wrote it a bit poorly. Obviously I should've explained that playbooks don't mean anything.

"Obviously, I should've just kept the whole thing out, if I knew this was going to be the reaction, because it took away from my story, I would've completely left it out."

More on this Playbook mess from Greg Bedard

2. I should have explained to the general public that having playbooks means absolutely nothing—especially a defensive playbook (there are only so many ways to run an open fire zone blitz, and they’re all on tape anyway). I am also in possession of a few Jets playbooks, along with many other NFL teams, including the Patriots. Funny thing is not one person on Twitter asked me to explain the significance of that small part of the story, until a story was posted some four hours after my story was out. If you cover the NFL and think that having another team’s playbook (outside of an individual weekly game plan, which no one said anything about) has any relevance, either you’re new on the beat, don’t know the sport you cover very well, or just grab any appearance of controversy for clicks without regard of the actual facts. Coaches share playbooks and their philosophies all the time. Players go from team to team every offseason with real information—why teams use certain techniques against certain opponents, the weaknesses they were targeting a previous matchup, etc.—in their head. Rob Ryan, Rex’s twin brother, coached under Belichick with the Patriots. Mike McCoy went from offensive coordinator of the Broncos to head coach of the Chargers. Chuck Pagano went from coordinating the Ravens’ defense to facing them as Colts coach in one season. Think they had a few playbooks? Just about everybody runs the same plays. A game is determined by tendencies, matchups, timing, game-specific tactics, and about 50 other things. Sure, coaches don’t love their information being out there without their approval, but any insinuation that anybody acted improperly is so ridiculous and irresponsible that it didn’t even enter my mind that it could happen.

Arya thanks Rorge for telling them his name before she sticks him in the heart with Needle.

Asha (Theon Greyjoys' sister) thanks the Dreadfort soldier for leading her to the kennels right before she slits his throat!

@Dave Hohf

I am with you.  This should be the best place to get Jets Info.  With the writers that TBJ has, it is second to none.  But these petty aguments that take over every thread, it makes you not even want to tread through all the bull to get to the good nugets of info that are on here. I don't mind when Joey or 57 are ranting because for the most part that are in good fun and sometimes goes overboard/misinterpreted.  But Hank on the otherhand has not had a meaningful/civil conversation on here for months and possibly years.  It is just sad that one bad egg can bring down something that should be so good.

Dave Hohf

@levi  I agree about Pryor. I plan on waiting it out a little bit, but I'd like his jersey too.

@williamg1 You can download Urban Meyer's playbook online. Like...right now. It's from the past, but how much has it really changed? Last I checked, Meyer still has one of the best offenses in college football.

@jsadolph @Dave Hohf I'm with you guys. Every once in a while it tees me off enough to get into it with Hankandsons, LLC. I just wish they would come to this blog with actual football knowledge and intel. If you live in Boston or Pittsburgh or Miami or wherever, tell us what you're hearing. I love intel on other teams from a JETS FAN perspective on a JETS BLOG.

@Dave Hohf  I just think with that front D line and hopefully much improved CB play that he's gonna have a field day out there.

@Brendan @williamg1

I think Rex ran a totally different defense when he had Revis as a DB. So I would say the playbook has changed a LOT!!!

@Hanknaples YOU ARE CLUELESS!!!!

All Rex did was answer the media's questions so KNOCK OFF THE BS ALREADY

@Bytor @jsadolph

The posters who argue the silliness with Hank are just as much to blame as far as I am concerned.

@levi @Dave Hohf  I can't wait! I'm not making any claims, but I think he can be our "Polamalu". I'm not saying Pryor is a future HOFer, but I believe he can fill that role.

@Hanknaples @Bytor Hank, do you have fun living in a fantasy world where reality is optional? Do you see cows fly over the moon every night, and the lost city of Atlantis on the beach that you live near?

For being one of the older posters on this blog, you sure are a child.

Bytor

@Hanknaples @Bytor Change the word Your to MY and your statement is probably closer to the truth.

@Hanknaples  Your hatred for Rex has blinded you. Or is it your blind love for Pettine?

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples He's obligated by league mandate to answer questions by the media.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples He didn't open his mouth, Pettine did. And, if you bothered reading Jay's post, you'd see that the media took Pettine's comments out of context and used it to start a fake controversy. It's not Rex's fault, it's not even Pettine's fault, it's the media's fault. And yours, for buying their BS.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples @Brendan Yes because Miami and Buffalo are impending football juggernauts...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Quite possibly your funniest comment ever.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples The teams have 12 identical opponents. Then 2 division opponents that differ and 2 non-division opponents that differ.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples @Bytor @Brendan Here's how I see the schedule Hank:

Jets sweep Miami and Billdos. Win half the rest and they're in the playoffs. Easy peasy.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples  OK Hank, just what are you saying here do you think Miami and Buffalo will sweep the Jets?

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples Four.

Edit: if you meant how many teams do the Jets play this year, the answer is 13.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples @Brendan Same schedule as Miami. The difference is my team plays Pitt and Ten and your team plays the Jags and Bal.

Either way my team will be closer to the top of the division than your team.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples  I agree, its a tough schedule this year. But, Rex didnt cause the distraction and it has been dealt with. Im sure this non issue will disappear pretty quick.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples That is literally a worthless comment to make.

"Hey, Rex better be careful, he has football games this year!"

Great stuff, Hank.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples  Im not very worldly. I like my very tiny corner of the world.

Meh, I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill here. Rex has toned it way down lately he has me longing for some SWAG baby!

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples This is incoherent.

I didn't take anything out of context, your comment is literally pointless.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples I turn my tv on about once a month I think until football season. If this is whats considered big news on ESPN and NFL Network then Im glad I dont watch much.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples "C'mon Levi don't get brainwashed by the Bandoleros !!" Levi is not brainwashed.

"I'm not making it anything...but if you haven't been reading, or watching the Boob Tube....well it's front page for the last two solid days !!!"

No it hasn't. It was backpage for one day. It's not banner news on any of the major sports websites.

"Also, Rexy is ABSOLUTELY NOT toning down anytying..he hasn't stopped....he LOOOOVES it !!"

Yes he has. This is common knowledge now, even your pal 57 would agree.

"For everything hated about Belichick being stupid is NOT one of them !!"

Nor has anyone said he is stupid.

"At the first question, he answered..."Speak to Mike Pettine"...case closed !!!"

So did Rex.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples Nope, you're wrong. He answered a question. Media took something out of Bedard's article and blew it up. THE MEDIA (incorrectly) made something out of nothing. You somehow made this into a Rex flaw. Shocker.

Share with us more tales of how well the Cleveland and Miami football organizations are run. Those teams remind me of the Spurs. Such quiet and consistent winners all the way around. They all do things the "right" way.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples You coming up to Cortland Hank? I think you should. We can get a good look at the team and sexy Rexy.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples Yeah, I don't care who you direct your dumb comments towards, I'm still going to answer them.

Rex has toned it down years ago. When's the last time he predicted a SB win?

levi
levi

@Hanknaples   Did you follow Cleveland before Mangini had a cup of coffee there? Im just curious I assume you follow Miami and Tampa because of your location.

Brendan
Brendan

@Hanknaples You've been saying that about Cleveland since Mangini took over, and they've won 23 games in five seasons.

@Hanknaples Would you tell Brick to his face that he is fat?

@Hanknaples I will be there at some point. I want a pic with Rex perhaps you could take the pic. The last few times I went I only watched the practices. This time I think I will go out on the town and see if I run into any players or coaches.

Brendan
Brendan

@BDarc23 Hank used to call Rex & Tanny "Suck up and Puppetface."

Now that Tanny is gone, he uses it to refer to me ("Suck up") and tsjc ("Puppetface"). As proof that this is the funniest joke ever, 57 now uses it.

a57se

@Brendan @a57se

I like Enquiring minds better....

Google "The Enquirer".....you will see!

levi

@Brendan @BDarc23 " As proof that this is the funniest joke ever, 57 now uses it."

This made me laugh.

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se It's "inquiring." "Enquiring" is the British English version.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples So you like Miami out of spite for the Jets. I don't see how you can be a fan of both teams.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples Sad homer you are. Also proving you're not a Jet fan as well. As a football fan how can you not want to meet Rex Ryan? I'm not a 9'ers fan but would relish the idea of spending some time with Bill Walsh and pick his brain on the WCO.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples Do you think Miami will have a better record than the Jets?

a57se
a57se

@BDarc23 @Brendan

That is correct BDarc...Enquiring minds became associated with readers of the magazine and its' silly tales of Alien abductions and supernatural sightings.

The stories in the Enquirer were as bizarre as some of Hanks comments...

Brendan
Brendan

@a57se Please explain what your point is? A publication uses "Enquirer" incorrectly (it's their trademark, literally, and they admit it's a misspelling) and that somehow shows you aren't misusing the word?

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples @levi I mentioned earlier you posted your funniest comment ever. I stand corrected. This one made me laugh out loud!

You must wear teal underwear.

levi
levi

@Hanknaples  I would like to see someone other than the Pats take the division but I dont think that will happen until next year when the Jets do it.

a57se
a57se

@Brendan @a57se

The National Enquirer had a reputation of being a joke of a magazine that focused on weird conspiracy theories, Aliens and bogus supenatural stories. 'Enquiring Minds' is a sarcastic way of expressing interest in a bizarre situation. In this specific case, Hanks labelling of you as Suck-up and tsjc68 as Puppet face after using that for the Jets GM and owner for so long...

a57se
a57se

@Hanknaples

And sell drugs and murder each other over said drugs and murder other people over said drugs.

Bytor
Bytor

@Hanknaples @Bytor @levi Let's see where you're wrong....this won't take long...everywhere, starting with you being objective. Once you say that, we can't take anything you say seriously. Miami has a better d-line? Seriously? (Cris Carter voice) C'Mon Man!

a57se
a57se

@Hanknaples

I don't think Tannehill is going to break out.

I think he will be their weak link and hold the Dolphins back this year.

a57se
a57se

@Hanknaples

You talk about the Dolphins like a lot of folks on this Blog talk about the Jets for this season.

For both teams, the QB play will be the deciding factor though the Jets defense is better then the Dolphins D.
