Jets Promote Justus Galac to Head of Strength and Conditioning

Amid the post-presser commentary, Rex Ryan mentioned in passing that assistant Justus Galac will take the place of Bill Hughan as the head of strength and conditioning.

I know it’s not exactly the news you were hoping to hear since we’re all anxiously awaiting for the arrival of a new general manager however, this is an important function of a football team. It’s their job to help keep the players in shape and ensure they remain healthy and after one season under Bill Hughan, Galac, who previously spent six years as the Villanova Wildcats’ strength and conditioning coach and was named Samson FCS Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2010, will take on the full-time position. Our own Jake Steinberg has told us that the players are excited to work under Galac so the transition should be seamless.

John,

According to all reports, the Giants will have 8 picks (not counting compensation; which is unlikely). They received an additional pick in round 7 with the trade with Denver for PK McManus.

 Our Shopping spree for Geoff Schwartz, Walter Thurmond and Rashad Jennings, was a ZERO.  We should get 10 compensatory picks for our tough luck

@rico BUT we did!

 We got the first overall pick in 2014 and got Odell Beckham.
