Cornerback Dee Milliner has a high-ankle sprain and will miss several weeks (Mehta, Aug. 10).
9:45 a.m.: Milliner is expected to miss 3-4 weeks (Werder, August 11)
12:55 p.m.: Milliner said he hopes to be ready by the first game of the season, but isn’t sure yet. He’s had an X-ray on the ankle, but not an MRI.
Milliner injured the left ankle in practice on Sunday, less than an hour after fellow cornerback Dexter McDougle tore the ACL is his knee. Milliner had to be helped off the field as the Jets lost two corners in the span of an hour.
The Jets also were without corner Dmitri Patterson, who missed practice nursing injuries, leaving the Jets without three of their top four corners.
