The New York Jets selected CB DeMarcus “Dee” Milliner with the 9th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
He had 136 total tackles, six interceptions, one fumble recovery and three forced fumbles. He had 1.5 sacks last season for the Crimson Tide.
Milliner started in 11 games, playing in all 13, as a true freshman in 2010. In 2011, he started six games, playing in all 13. Last year, Milliner started and played in every game except one, which he missed due to a strained hip flexor.
Milliner was a 2012 All-American out of the University of Alabama. He was among the finalists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Jim Thorpe Award last year, as well.
He had shoulder surgery for a torn labrum on March 12, and is still recovering, but told media he is “ahead of schedule.”
Milliner is listed at 6-foot, weighing 201 lbs.
