The New York Jets selected DT Sheldon Richardson with the 13th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Richardson, out of the University of Missouri, had 112 tackles and six sacks in two season with the Tigers. He also forced four fumbles and recovered one.
He finished the year second on the team with 75 tackles last season, 10.5 for a loss.
“Richardson is a disruptive force that you don’t have to take off the field,” ESPN’s Mel Kiper wrote in his latest mock draft.
During the 2012 season, Richardson was suspended for one game for an unspecified violation of team rules.
Richardson is listed at 6’2″ and 295 lbs, with a 34 1/2″ arm length.
He attended the College of the Sequoias before transferring to Mizzou.
