With Wildcard weekend kicking off today, we wanted to set up a spot for reactions to Saturday’s games. Here’s our quick previews:
Chiefs (11-5) at Colts (11-5) — The Colts haven’t had the best year, but their game has picked up when it needed to the most. Andrew Luck is gaining familiarity with his receivers now that they are without top target Reggie Wayne. The Colts defense came out of the gate strong, but because of injuries and inconsistency has caused them to slow their pace. Alex Smith and many of the Chiefs are coming off a week’s rest after sitting last week against the Chargers, will their freshness be a factor tonight?
Saints (11-5) at Eagles (10-6) — This game could have “quarterback showdown” written all over it. Nick Foles has been impressive this season and hot of late. Foles posted a 74.5% completion rate in the last two weeks while putting up a stunning 27 touchdowns and 2 interceptions over the season. Chip Kelly’s uptempo offense has captivated the NFL and is allowing players like DeSean Jackson and Shady McCoy to post breakout numbers. Will Drew Brees be able to keep up with the scoring on the road while Rob Ryan derails the Kelly Express?
