Jake Steinberg, TheJetsBlog.comAs the Pro Day schedule is in full swing, I’m starting to hear buzz regarding players that the Jets are showing interest in. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking a look at some of these guys.
To start, per source, the Jets sent multiple scouts to Fordham’s Pro Day on Wednesday to see defensive tackle Dillon Quinn. Quinn started his career at Boston College, and then finished up his last year of eligibility at CW Post. We hear one of the Jets scouts took some time aside with him during the day and after the workout.
His unofficial numbers were; 6062, 280, 5.03- 40, 30 reps of 225, 33.5 inch arms, 9’3 broad, 30.5 vertical, 4.46-4.55 range on the short shuttle, 7.45 3 cone.
Quinn played at 305-312 lbs at BC when he played as a 4-3 DT. With his reach and unique ability to stack and shed, it appears he would fit nicely into a 3-4 as an end.
