I’ll still criticize the media. I never had a problem with the media. I just didn’t appreciate the way I was being covered, or the way the Jets were being covered. This is a different media market, different from any other place. It wasn’t like this when I was in Baltimore.”

Nice Q & A with Bart! He doesn't take any shorts.....

On Boomer and Carton today Bart was called a thug by a caller. Bart said " how am I a thug, I'm a father of 3 kids with an economics degree" was pretty entertaining.

The media made him out to e a bad guy just like they did with Holmes and will keep doing until the fans speak up and demand real coverage. Alas that will never happen since 90% of jet fans are mindless sheep.

Some good stuff in that bonus link that was just added to the post.

Easily my favorite Jets player of the past five years...

I wonder if Bart will be as entertaining on TV as he was in a Jets uniform......

I wish Manish got what he deserved. Didn't he yell back something like "I'll sue you if you hit me" when Bart went at him.

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, BART.

(I still can't fathom how Jets fans disliked this guy)

@DrJonathanReefer  God bless him, and screw all these narrow-minded ignorant wahoos who just use "thug" as a modern equivalent of the n-word.

I really couldn't like Bart anymore than I already do, but if it was possible, that reply would've done it.

@a57se  I would imagine that he would make a series of pertinent and entertaining comments, but at a frequency that most people are unable to hear.

@a57se  He was on The Other Pregame Show all last year.

@jetlife  No, that was a different guy. Leberfield I think. The one who was repeatedly taking pictures of Scott in the locker room right after he got out of the shower, even though it's not allowed and kind of creepy.

He also calls the Jets and Ravens thug teams. He named a few players but condemned every player with them.

But yeah carton called the guy a racist and the guy was like "how can u say that you don't know me.

Bart said " and u don't know me or the 53 players on my teams" dude just has a thought in his head and nothin can change that fact no matter how wrong he is. I'm assuming he was 50+ most of the old guys are hard headed.

@__fense @jetlife  Thank you for clarifying. Well, I STILL hope Manish gets clocked in the mouth. What a P.O.S. I was thrilled when Olbermann thoroughly roasted him on national TV.

@a57se I wasn't aware there's a dress code change when you get older.  guess that's another "rule"  I'll be breaking.

@DrJonathanReefer

I don't know......it just seems pathetic to me seeing some of my contemporaries trying to dress like the youngsters do today or even worse, like they did when they were kids.

DrJonathanReefer

I know what ya meant and yes I do agree he dressed like he is in his 20 but I have no problem with it.

Age has nothing to do with style(at least in my mind)

@DrJonathanReefer

Carton is 45 but he dresses like a gansta rapper......I think he is desperately trying to portray a young image.

I may be wildly wrong about the way he dresses but he definitely doesn't dress like a mature man.
 (NO i don't mean mature as in anyone less than 45 is immature.....that is just a way of saying an 'older' man)

And that's, unfortunately, the struggle people fight with equality. You can make someone's intolerance as simple as possible, dumb it down any way you want, but it won't matter. Dumb people dig into their convictions in a way intelligent people simply don't.

Says who? In this day and age, too many lies. You would not believe the BS we are tricked into believing.

Ah I equate thug with a gang banger. ( not the type in XXX movies lol)

Brendan
Brendan

@DrJonathanReefer  I think he's a thug because he never showed remorse for what he did, he just got pissed that he was being questioned about it. He's just a bad person, which I equate to a thug.

@DrJonathanReefer

Aaron Hernandez is a murderer.....i think that is a little worse than a thug.

Eh, he is a jackass and an idiot but I wouldn't call him a thug.

Aaron Hernandez is a thug.

@a57se Agreed. That's the correct usage of the word, just don't let Hanker see you say that.
