Quote: Sheldon Richardson on Rex Ryan

“I most definitely think he’ll be back, I could be wrong, but hey man, this is the way the business works. If his job was in jeopardy, Rex would tell you his job was in jeopardy. I promise you he would.”

I'm sick of this team changing coaches like they're socks. We tried firing our way to a championship and it's not working. How's about we try continuity for once?

Sheldon, you're my man, but you don't know what's up w/ Ryan, and Ryan doesn't know what's up with Ryan. We'll all have to wait until the Monday after the regular season ends, when the big man [GM] talks.

I love speculation.

CARRY ON

But the biggest joke of this organization if Rex gets fired, is that Terry Bradway will still be here.

I think he gets to come back next year, and he deserves to as well.... They have cap space, they have draft picks, and they have a lot of talent on the D side of the ball... They need continuity right now... changing OC and DC right now on top of everything else would be a mistake. I don't think Idzik does that. I think he comes back, and next year, if they don't show marked improvement on the offensive side of the ball, then he gets shown the door..

I would like to see them with a real QB, a real LG and some healthy WR's just once in Rex's tenure... They have never had all 3, when they had 2 of the 3, they went to back to back AFC championship games.... now that they none of the 3, that they still can be a .500 team is pretty remarkable to me.

Man, I don't envy Idzik right now.  It's going to be really tough to let Rex go with his players showing him so much support.  Idzik might have himself a mutiny if Rex is fired.  I'm not sure whether keeping or firing Rex is the right decision but I do know I'm glad I'm not the person who has to make that decision.

I think when Idzik was hired, he didn't promise Rex anything as far as remaining HC,  but I think he told him his win/loss record wouldn't be as important as how the young players developed.

How else to explain the growing pains and not replace the underperforming rookies when warranted if Rex was concerned about remaining HC.

Boss Hogg The Blast Chiller will NOT be pleased if Rex gets the ax. He'll sign a contract with that team, and play two games on Sundays just to prove how much he likes Rex.

@Sal Aspromonte

I wish I was the person making that decision...it would be easy to me!

easy for all of us, like yourself who want him back but prolly even easier for the ones who don't want to give Rex one last  shot.
