“Ricky Sapp jumped out at me today,” Rex Ryan said after Friday’s practice.
Sapp, out of Clemson in 2010, was originallu signed to the Jets practice squad in October 2011 after a season with the Eagles and a knee injury. He was released and re-signed a few times by the Jets, and was promoted to the active roster on a couple of occasions.
“He had a tremendous practice. Probably had 5 sacks today,” the Jets head coach said.
