One more minor transaction has been announced by the Jets:
The Jets have released T JB Shugarts from practice squad, have signed DL Junior Aumavae to practice squad.—

Bent, TheJetsBlog.comAumavae had showed some promise over the first three preseason games, before struggling in his first start on Thursday night. While his technique needs some refining, he will benefit from still getting to work with defensive line coach Karl Dunbar.
Shugarts had played both left and right tackle on the second unit in preseason. He likely became surplus to requirements once the Jets were able to successfully claim Ben Ijalana off waivers because his place on the practice squad was probably more as an available emergency option that knows the playbook than as a high-upside project. He might even be back at some point because the Jets often shuttle players onto and off of the practice squad, especially early in the season.
