Scouting: Quick Look at Jets Patriots

Tomorrow night, the Jets take on the New England Patriots in a Thursday night game. Here’s some things to look for in tomorrow night’s matchup.

Tight End Status — there’s almost no chance that Rob Gronkowski will be playing tomorrow night, but Aaron Hernandez should make a return to the game. The Jets have been unable to counter the tight end since Hernandez and Gronkowski’s emergence, but without Gronk can the Jets make the matchup better?

Aqib Talib Kweli — Talib might have made some plays last week for the Patriots, but he was getting burned on other ones. The Jets Jeremy Kerley might not have the same game he had last time, but the Jets receivers can still beat this team. It’s going to be up to Mark Sanchez to make the right reads and find the man in single coverage to avoid any mistakes.

All Quiet on the Jets Defensive Front — . With so much spread personal usage by the patriots Jets are going to have to get the best from Sione, Mo and Coples. The Jets are going to have to do a better job getting pressure up front and they did the last time against Tom Brady.
