Wrecking ball of the year?

Brian Baldinger had some bold words about the play of Jets rookie Sheldon Richardson on NFL Network AFC Playbook.

“The best rookie I’ve seen in the National Football League in two weeks is defensive tackle for the NY Jets, Sheldon Richardson. … He basically just runs through anything in his way. … He’s been a one man wrecking ball.”

Brian Bassett, TheJetsBlog.com

Bent mentioned some of these plays in his BGA posts this week.  Look for more goodness this weekend for Richardson this weekend against the Bills.

We love the element he’s been able to add to this defensive line … and just imagine how good the group will be once Coples gets back!  Still, Richardon has been a pleasure to watch and his ability to knife through a defense and rush a quarterback is a game-changer for the Jets.

Here’s some more gifs we got from the SNY Tumblr page.
