Here’s some thoughts of what to watch for during today’s game. Add your thoughts in the comments!
Banged Up — The Jets will be without Revis, Keller and Bryan Thomas while there’s rumors that the Steelers look to be without James Harrison and Troy Polamalu. Keep an eye on the activation/deactivation list for who in fact sits out for the Steelers.
Get at Big Ben – With a downgraded secondary, the Jets defensive line is going to have to not only pressure Ben Roethlisberger but actually tackle him. The Jets just drafted two first round defensive linemen … here’s their chance to prove their value to the Jets.
Keep On Keeping On — The Jets had a great Week 1 in terms of protecting their passer, but they have to keep doing what we saw in the first week. Austin Howard played well, but he did it against Mario Williams playing as a down linemen. How will Howard do against a Dick LeBeau’s fire-zone blitzes and LaMarr Woodley in particular?
Jets Secondary vs. Steelers Receivers — This matchup could tell the tale for the game. If the Jets aren’t able to slow down the Steelers receivers, this game could be all over. Cromartie, Wilson and Lankster along with the upgraded safeties are going to be at their best to keep the Jets in the game.
