i feel like Flowers might be a little too boom or bust for where we selected him, Collins and Owa might save this draft for Reese. Thompson is a complete head scratcher, he would have went undrafted! I actually like the Davis pick, they definitely plan to bulk him up and turn him into a receiving TE he has fantastic hands and is a very good route runner, plus he gets off the line well with his size. The 7th round OL is a solid pick as well, can never have too many OL. Wish we would have added Bud Dupree though

"If you think he can be a legitimate NFL LT, and many do."

I have legitimately not heard a single expert say that they think this.

I don't have a problem with the first three picks. My problem is what they did by reaching for players (or needs) with their last three choices. I think an initial grade of B- is being too kind for the overall grade. I think because of the 5th - 7th round, a C+ is probably more accurate... but any grade at all is really dependent on how the Top 3 picks pan out. I think those picks judged by themselves are at least a B+ or A-.  If we hit on any of the picks in the 5th - 7th, then that would probably be the icing on the cake.

My issues with the first three picks are nominal - Flowers was taken a little early - but if there was no one interested in trading up with the Giants, then it is what it is.  They had to trade up otherwise they wouldn't have gotten Collins - wish we didn't have to give up the two additional picks -and for OO - hoping his hips are ok - but he was a third round pick for a reason.....

The 3rd day selections are Jerry Reese falling back into the I am the smartest guy in the room - and finding obscure players to prove his point.  Where ultimately i hope he is right - i do think that he could have gotten a lot better value with these selections.

First three picks are B+/A-

Last three picks are C- (at best)

Time will tell.

@Jeff Comerford ....  I am in agreement, although I probably like the Flowers pick better than most people here. My preference was for a defensive player, but we addressed that in Round 2 and 3, so it wasn't that big an issue for me to see them improve their offensive line first.  As for the last three picks, the best I could give them would be a D. I think every pick in the 5th - 7th round were players they could have drafted in the 7th round or signed as undrafted free agents. Every one of them I thought was a wasted pick in terms of draft board value juxtaposed against positional needs. The 5th - 7th rounds prove that "best player available" is really NOT the strategy that Reese uses to build a team. He simply picks who he wants.
