New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes, 9.9

On the offensive performance…
It was a great performance by us. The game plan went really smooth this week. Guys were paying
attention to details. Everything just felt great today and we put on a show.

On the team’s outlook entering the game.…

Today, we just wanted to go out and have as much fun as we could. We put up points. The defense was
outstanding, forced turnovers, gave us great field position, and we capitalized.

On the amount of players who contributed on offense…
I think the guys just played full-speed and with a great intensity. The offensive line did their job. The
receivers caught the ball. The tight ends blocked as well and the running backs ran the ball well.

New York Jets T Austin Howard, 9.9

On winning the season opener…
We are going to keep on bringing it every week. This was the first game. We have 16 more weeks to go.
We have a lot more goals than just this first game.

On if he had a lot of one-on-ones.…
I felt like I did have a lot of one-on-ones today. We (also) had a lot of different things with chip blocking
(and) help from the backs throughout the game. We are going to go watch the film and make sure that we
build on it.

On not giving up any sacks…
We’re a very proud offensive line. We pride ourselves in keeping the quarterback clean.

New York Jets QB Tim Tebow, 9.9

On his first game as a Jet…
It was fun. To be a part of a win like this is exciting. Opening for us, it’s a big game. I’m proud of my
teammates for their effort and the fans coming out and supporting us. It was a fun day.

On if he was surprised that the offense performed so well after their preseason struggles…
The whole time we believed in ourselves and the offense and Coach (Tony) Sparano and everything.
The whole time we were game-planning and preparing. I feel like we were confident coming in. Guys just
stepped up and executed as a unit. I’m proud of everyone.

On what it’s like for the offense when the defensive causes turnovers…
It’s exciting. I think momentum is huge in this game. When you’re able to get the momentum and
capitalize on big plays, which we did, and continue to get big plays on defense, you kind of get that “big
mo” going and it makes things a little bit easier.

On the wildcat…
After a little bit, we didn’t show too much. We were able to get in there and have some efficient plays.
Obviously, we would have liked to break one open (for a touchdown), but I think it’ll continue to develop.

On if the numerous substitutions caught the Bills off guard…
It’s hard to say. I think we were showing them a lot of different looks, a lot of different personnel. I think
that’s definitely tough to deal with. Are you going to play press (coverage)? Are you going to back off?
Early on they were backing off and Mark was making great completions underneath. We got a few good
plays over the top.

On if it was calm on the Jets sidelines when the team made substitutions…
It was pretty calm. I think there was good communication. I think that was the key, it’s something we’ve
been practicing a lot. I think that was the start of why we were able to execute.

New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie, 9.9

On being prepared for Buffalo’s offensive plays…
Some of the things they ran, they kept it true. When you’re studying film, everyone gets a beat on it and
you know the things you need each other to do. It makes things a lot easier once you step on the field in
the first couple of minutes. We just wanted to come out and capitalize on everything, and we did.

On scoring his first touchdown as a Jet.…
It felt great, but you had Kyle Wilson contribute as well, (Darrelle) Revis had that first pick and it just
trickled down. Next week, if we can capitalize on plays we know we can get, then that’s something we
have to do. That’s where we came up short last year. We didn’t capitalize on many plays.

On the offensive performance…
It felt great. The offense is putting up points (and) throwing the ball down the field. Mark (Sanchez) is
making great decisions (and) receivers are catching the ball. That’s all you can ask for as a defense.
They just did a hell of a job today.

New York Jets Wide Receiver Stephen Hill, 9.9

On his performance in his NFL first game…
It was pretty good, especially scoring two touchdowns in the first game. It was pretty good. Like I said,
looking forward to next weekend.

On his struggles with drops…
I don’t feel like I struggled. I only dropped two in the game. But other than that, (I) just kept working hard.

On whether the offense’s performance was a surprise…
No it wasn’t. We knew what was going to happen. Coach Rex Ryan, he told us. It wasn’t like, we “knew”,
but we knew we were going to open it up. That’s how it was.

On if practicing with the Jugs machine paid off…
It definitely paid off. I kind of got off the Jugs early in the summer. But I have to get back on them and
make sure I make those catches.
