On playing Tom Brady…

(We) just have to be sound in coverage and try to disguise well and execute.  He’s going to be Brady, he’s going to complete passes and he’s going to be great out there. We are going against a tough quarterback.

On Coach Belichick’s compliments…

I appreciate the praise but it’s a new game.  What I did in the past and what I have done is in the past.  This is a new ball game and I hope to create something else.

On TE Rob Gronkowski being out for the game…

They have (TE Aaron Hernandez), (he’s) great and I think he rested last game. He’s definitely going to be fired up to play us and he can fill in the shoes of Gronkowski.  So we still need to play a ball game as if he was playing.

CB Antonio Cromartie

On if they have to change anything with the injuries in the secondary…

Not too much, I think the guys that we have, they know what their jobs are and they know what they need to do. I think the biggest thing is making sure everyone is communicating and still on the same page. On the back end, we just have to make sure we go out and communicate. That’s the biggest thing for us, (making) sure every guy is covering the guy they need to cover and (making) sure every guy knows the defense that we’re in. I don’t think too much has changed for us.

On matching up with New England’s quick receivers…

It’s a challenge when you look at it on film, but I think what we do a good job of is trying to get our hands on the slot receivers and trying to match up well against them. I think the biggest thing is when we have bigger personnel on the field and they have (smaller) people on the field, that gives us the biggest problems. I think the biggest thing for us is to make sure we match up well and when they go into the hurry-up offense, to make sure we get a call in, line up well, make sure we don’t get a quick count, and when the offense puts in different guys, just communicate on the back end as quickly as possible.

On if facing Tom Brady helps elevate your game…

Definitely, just going against one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, if not the best quarterback in the NFL is always a competitive edge. You always want to make sure that you go up against the best and do well against the best. That’s something I’m always looking forward to, (to) go out and compete (against the best).

RB Shonn Greene

On if it makes it easier to prepare during a short week when you’re familiar with the opponent…

You can kind of say that, but not really. Any team at any given moment can switch things up from what they did previously in the last game when we played them. We still have to go through our game planning and stuff like that. It’s kind of easier but not really.

On having three healthy running backs…

Yeah, that’s a big contributing factor for this game. It’s going to help us out a lot, giving the defense different looks and keeping everybody fresh.

On if it is beneficial to have three running backs …

Yeah, absolutely. Like I said, they have different skill sets and I think we can give some defense headaches by having all three of us in the game.
