Their Previous Meeting: The last time these two teams met, for the Jets, the end of their playoff streak was nigh. It was an ominous sign when the first score came on a 47 yard fumble return by the Eagles’ Juqua Parker. Sanchez was sacked four times, three courtesy of Jason Babin, and it showed as he threw two picks, potentially due to a neck injury that bothered him the rest of the season, but threw two touchdowns as well. The defense had its moments but it too faltered and the Jets fell 45-19.

Injury Report: Not available.

Another preseason game gone by and no touchdowns. ESPN and every other cohort of theirs in town is calling it quits for Gang Green but the Jets have never been known to say “Die” and I doubt they’ll start now. In the dress rehearsal, we did see some marked improvement regarding Sanchez’s accuracy and the offense did seem to flow a bit better with Kerley and Holmes back in the line up but drops absolutely killed the Jets’ chances on quite a few of their drives and a lot of that has to do with timing which still clearly needs to be worked on. But, that’s enough about the starters.

This game is about the young men who have been diligently and painstakingly trying to impress their respective coaches to earn their spot within the organization. For many, this will be the last time to prove themselves and we should commend them for their hard work and effort. Even if they receive a pink slip the following day, they know and we know, although some of us don’t act like, they have left it all on the field. Best of luck to all of them.
