James Walker is reporting on the AFC East blog for ESPN that the Jets are hosting one of our favorite former Jets quarterbacks to help give some pointers to Sanchez and Tebow.
No, we’re not talking about The Land Baron …
Former Jets quarterback Chad Pennington stopped by Cortland, N.Y., to tutorMark Sanchez and Tim Tebow in training camp. Besides being a former player, Pennington has several additional ties to the Jets. Pennington worked with Sanchez this offseason and also has a good relationship with New York offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, who coached Pennington with the Miami Dolphins.
Brian Bassett, theJetsBlog.comGlad to see that the Jets relationship with Pennington is repaired to the point that this is possible. Hopefully Pennington’s knowledge of the offense will be a help to the Jets quarterbacks. Sanchez has said that the time he spent with Pennington so far this offseason was a big help, so let’s hope another lesson will help the Jets first and second teams this Saturday against the Giants.
