Stats: Not Exactly Lighting it Up
Reporters in Cortland were keeping detailed tallies on how the quarterbacks performed in camp and the completion percentages weren’t great.
These counts are from Rich Cimini on ESPN NY.
Sanchez: 94-for-180 (52.2 pecent), four touchdown passes, six interceptions, 15 sacks, one touchdown run.
Tebow: 53-for-109 (48.6 percent), two touchdown passes, three interceptions, 21 sacks, three touchdown runs.

Hmm … not the greatest stats so far for either quarterback or in terms of protection. But this is all stuff we already knew. It’s not rosy, but Cimini (as we would too) points out that the offense hasn’t exactly been the model of consistency so far this camp. With all the injuries and adjusting to the new offense, it’s certainly taken it’s toll. Also, playing against that defense is never easy, so while I don’t want to make excuses, I do think that they are dealing with a tougher practice defense than most other teams in the league are.
