On meeting the President of the United States…

Surreal, I had the opportunity to meet the President of the United States. It is something I was floored by. I think I will remember that forever.

On how the opportunity came about…

I was invited by my teammate, Mark (Sanchez). As soon as I heard, I was looking for that tuxedo. I went to the store and got the bow tie. It took me a couple of hours to learn how to tie it, but I was determined.

On why Sanchez selected him…

I am the left tackle. I protect Mark Sanchez for a living (laughter). We have a great relationship on and off the field. I am just glad he asked me to come.

On where this ranks in regards to opportunities he has had…

This is numero uno. You meet one of the most powerful men in the world and it humbles you. You have an opportunity to see the affect he has on the nation. You see it every day in the newspapers or you see it on the news. You get to meet the man in person and say, ‘Hey, He is a person too.’ He has a great personality. It was amazing.

On having Jason Taylor as a teammate…

We had him break it down in the weight room today and we thought he was going to say “Dolphins!” You have a chance to play with so many different individuals in this league. The way the League works you are probably going to see a lot of changes. It is good when you can play against a guy you have a lot of respect for and now he is a part of your plans.
